Besides have in a few garage sales a year, I use mainly local online selling venues like Marketplace, FB Online Garage sale that are local groups, a local classified ad magazine and Craig's List. But you have to watch out for phony inquiries that ask for a lot of personal information about you but won't give any of themselves.

Also be advised that in an economic downturn, the first market that suffers is A&C. People need their money for necessities and aren't looking for "luxury" or superfluous items. Good luck.

Ah, it was good advice from Georgiagranny! I appreciate your advice! I won't hold any high expectations. Still, the weather is supposed to be perfect and it introduces new neighbors, so the day won't be a total drag!

Perhaps I'll try selling online. My cousin does this, but she is a hoarder-type and had no room for any of the stuff that I wanted to give her - even though I said she could keep the money!
