Well the 1.5 billion people who weren't vaccinated aren't ghosts. Not if they were vaccinated.
That's convoluted logic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!View attachment 334278
And people still don't understand wearing a mask was to stop you from spreading covid, not to prevent you from getting it.
True, a lot of people believed it would work both ways...because it's logical to think that if masks prevent the virus going out, they could prevent it coming in.View attachment 334278

And that means what, exactly? That the epidemiologists were stupid or that they were learning about the virus as they went along? That the people who wore masks were stupid or that they were trying to do the simple things they could to slow the spread? But it only took a few months for researchers to discover that the COVID virus was so minuscule, masks commonly worn by the general public couldn't do either.
Nobody is calling anyone stupid for making whatever choice they made or still make. The OP was just pointing something out that I believe is interesting, and that is those who did not wear masks or get vaccinated did not die like the govt said they would. Fear is a powerful motivator. And that means what, exactly? That the epidemiologists were stupid or that they were learning about the virus as they went along? Are the people who never wore masks smarter than the scientists and all the rest of us -- or do they just think they are and can't quit bragging about it?
The OP is a form of gloating. It's telling those of us who obeyed the advice of the authorities that we were stupid. It's as if someone told the Vietnam vets they were stupid to go because hindsight says we lost the war anyway.

My mistake then. I recognize cartoons as "funnies." This looked to me like a picture of Brad Pitt asking why all the non-mask wearers weren't dead. Since they obviously aren't all dead, I assumed it was a rhetorical question meant to imply that the people who did wear masks were foolish. If that wasn't the point, what was the point? The OP is not gloating or bragging or calling anyone stupid. He posted a meme; a funny. Obviously, not everyone thinks it's funny, but it isn't the first time someone posted a meme on SF that fell flat with some of us.

the norviurs seems to be big boy flu even tho it is a two day deal both ends and breathtaking stomach cramps pain etc--no temp no nose throat etc ......two day and nights and gone.....stay as hydrated and electorates as possible. bed and pottyIf we suspect that we are coming down with something, we mask in public out of consideration for others. Otherwise, we don't bother. I think masking helped me because I can't keep my hands away from my face and mouth otherwise
Two grands that live across the street are 9 and 12. They bring everything home from school but enjoy being with them so much that I just take my chances.
Faulty memory I am sure, but I don't recall illness being as rampant when I was in school. (I am 65). It's always something now. A few weeks ago a stomach virus kept half of the 9 year old's class home. It was going through the middle school too.
