How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

@hollydolly Yesterday afternoon my older daughter and I brought cookie plates to our neighbors. As usual, my wife prepared so much food for the Christmas dinner that the leftovers would feed another ten people. And when I suggested buying less food to have less work to do, then she got mad at...

    All Things Relating to Christmas

Left: My Christmas Day morning walk (in front of Starbucks.) . Right: My wife is still preparing the Christmas Dinner; it will be almost the same as our last Thanksgiving dinner. We are only 6 because her relatives are in Asia and mine are in Europe. That's too far to join us. Los Angeles TV...

My poor wife was up till four in the morning to bake cookies. I helped her a little bit, like unwrapping chocolate kisses that go on top of some cookies. My grandson would have been eager to help, but his whole family has the flu. My older daughter will help when she comes back from San Diego...

    How are you today?

Will my 72 year old wife ever be finished with decorating the house and garden? And then comes baking cookies for the neighbors, and finally preparing the Christmas dinner for the family. I wish I still had her energy. BTW, we bought the Olivewood Nativity Scene in Jerusalem when we visited the...

Some random thoughts about growing old. I recently adopted Boxer Puppy Rex. It’s reasonable to expect that he will be living 11 ½ years and, if so, that he will join me in celebrating my 100th birthday one day. He is my joy and living reminder that my life is winding down. We are made of...

I adopted Boxer Ross from a public shelter for free, including neutering, at 12 months old and 60 pounds. Today at 15 months, his weight has increased to 74 pounds. I am wondering whether my puppy will eventually weigh 90+ pounds. He is full of puppy love and as destructive as only a puppy can...

    How are you today?

@StarSong and @MarciKS My most faithful Boxer Ross had to be euthanized because of a mouth tumor. A $1K surgery had made it worse. Boxer Otto had terminal cancer and also had to be euthanized. In a few weeks I'll be 90 and two dogs are enough for me. Especially the 15 months old puppy Rex...

    For The Love Of Dogs

2 months ago, I adopted the stray Rex at 12 months old and 60 pounds from a shelter. He is more than a handful. Chewing on furniture and sandals is more fun than leather bones................Rex tries hard but hasn't caught a gopher yet. Rex almost caught the drone. My daughter shouldn't...

    For The Love Of Dogs

Dogs are a child's playground heaven, and dogs are very tolerant of mischievous kids. My 6 years old grandson is playing with my 14 month old Boxer puppy. The chewed-up wood corner was, of course, the 60 pounds bored puppy. The Beagle is my grandson's own puppy.

While the kids are on their way, my wife is rushing to get the table ready. The pups also get their fair share.
