How is your day Today, plans and achievements 2024....

My day didn't go quite as planned since none of the chores I intended to do got done. I wrote some reviews on Amazon this morning. After eating breakfast, I wound up taking a nap. Talked with my BFF on the phone and decided I needed to call my doctor re an issue with Farxiga. They were able to take me in as soon as I could get myself there. The office is in the next town, so I changed clothes and took a Lyft.

Issue is not as serious as I thought, just caused an annoyance for which I had been prescribed something yesterday. That medication already was working. Everything looked good and after chatting with the receptionist for a bit, I took another Lyft home. After changing, feeding Deja, eating lunch and watching a little T.V., I fell asleep again. I just woke up at 11:15.

My internet cut out again just now. Talking to Comcast is so infuriating. Their bullying is just disgusting. I started yelling at the guy to stop talking. When he wouldn't, I yelled louder until he stopped. But it was worse on me than him because now I'm angry.

The problem is that there are good people who work there, but I have to call dozens to get a good one and the automated system is trying to keep me out so I have to wrangle with the system and the people.

I spent the day downloading Netflix and Audible audiobooks. I have enough entertainment for a while, but that's not really the issue. The issue is more about having to deal with those infuriating people or this won't get fixed. It's so stressful.

I looked at mobile hotspots but don't think I can get that ordered and set up by the time I need this to be resolved.

Maneuvering automated systems can be infuriating for sure. Then to get an idiot after going through those steps is the worst. I'm so glad I have MetroPCS cell service. Their hotspot, which is excellent, is free and secured. Maybe you should go ahead and get a hotspot to be ready for the next time; there will more than likely be a next time.

Good morning! It's gonna be a hot day today. The temp is already at 75F.

Time to make 🥐 🥐 for the citizens of the city. They get testy when there aren't any 🥐🥐.

After work it's back to the garden center to exchange the shepherd's hook for one that has a good "foot" on it. And maybe another flower or two or three.

Y'all have a great day. I'll be back so govern yourselves accordingly.

Took a ride back into Rochester,NY with a friend. Paid a visit to the locally well known Mt Hope Cemetary.
Visited one of its famous residents. Look at the pole on left...I voted stickers, For benefit of non US residents, she fought for womens right to vote

Beautiful sunny day again. ☀️☀️

I got the electric hand edge trimmer, and trimmed all the borders this morning.. the grass bins get emptied tomorrow, and altho' my grass doesn't really need mowing, yet, and my bin is already half full from the last mowing.. I think I might just do a quick topping of the lawn, because the bin doesn't get emptied for another 2 weeks.. and a little bit of the hedging needs doing too...

I did want to go out today, but I'm so worn out from yesterday, I haven't got enough energy to drive anywhere far.. I might pop out and get some bread and milk, but otherwise I'll stay working in the garden today

I got a new spare wheel hoist for my camper - it lifts and holds the spare wheel under the van. There's a repair shop just off the village square and they can fit it for me this afternoon. I used to do all the maintenance on my vehicles, but this job requires getting under the van and anyway, I'm getting a tad old for these things.

It's a nice day here for a change so I might get a bit of work done in the garden. The potatoes are coming up fine and there's good blossom on the cherry and plum trees. The apples are a bit behind.

On my early walk at 6:20 to buy today's NYT,it was a bit foggy temps in the mid 50's
When I saw my apt for the 1st time on April 26th at Canterbury Woods with my close friend, Marcia, Adam{sales director} gave me a certificate which allowed me to be a 'guest' any time for a complimentary meal before I move in. I show the sheet to cafe employee, its charged to the marketing dept
The past 2 weeks I've been having lunch with a church friend, Bill who is introducing me to other residents to make me feel more comfortable as I get use to my new surroundings. This afternoon I'm having lunch again with Bill along with Marcia&my neighbor Janice,{we live on same floor in our apt building}.I invited Janice to thank her for all the things she has done for me the past 8 yrs since she moved in
Bill plans to show Janice his apt so she'll have idea what mine looks like. Our apts on the 2nd floor around corner from each other
This will be the highlight of my day

After my neighbors are up I have some pork ribs to vacuum pack. Then a trip to the dumpster for sure. Going to check my storage locker as I am trying to clean that out little by little. Just published a new blog post this morning that I had been working on for a few days. Now getting started on another one. Have a good day!

It sounds like a wonderful day! So good for you making this change and getting to know what to expect after your move.

Mac has had his first long walk of the day.

Yesterday we took him to the dog park,,one other larger dog there.
The area is divided so small dogs & large dogs are separate.

Mac checked the area out & wouldn't play with the toy we bought with us.
Wanted to sit by hubby.

Took him home,,, then he started the zooms around the living room.

I'm going to try to get some yard work done before it gets too hot.

Presently a sunny 69.

Well so much for taking a rest today...I mowed both lawns... cut and trimmed all the hedges back and front.... I was sooo hot , it is 75 today, but really warm with no breeze at all..

I quickly showered, changed then I drove over to the next town which is the nearest garage forecourt that has a tyre inflator... I do have one of my own but it's buried under stuff in the barn... then from there to the supermarket for some basics.. bread and milk.. and ice-cream...

I had a little wander around town before I got the groceries, browsed in the charity shop.. didn't buy anything... and stopped for a coke at a bar...

Bar , this used to be an old Post office , they've left some of the original features behind the bar.

then when I got home I portioned up all the food for the freezer...

I was crazy to do so much today after yesterdays all day jaunt... now my legs are so stiff I'm walking like an old person... really sore tbh.....anyway no more now, I'll just stay sitting down this evening....

Hot and humid with a high temp expected of 87 today. I wonder what the feels-like temp will be with humidity at 70%. We're in the air-you-can-wear season. It lasts through mid-September.

Went back to the garden center and exchanged the shepherds hook then fiddled in the garden...deadheading and stuff. Now I'm tired.

We're being threatened with storms again, but I'll believe it when I hear the thunder, see the lightning and feel the rain. It looks to me like it's all going to be way north of us.

You will note they were on the not the head stone. BUT, that being said....the stone was COVERED in them after the 2016 election when Hillary ran. (not political, just sayin) Here is an article with pictures..could not make pic shareable here. Also, cemetary has asked no more stickers be placed ON the stone, as it is fragile

That looks a nice charity shop. There are none locally so it has been a long time since I ventured into one but, there used to be one in the market near where I lived years ago and it was full of dusty books, cheap china and row upon row of old clothes which stank of moth balls and sweat.
