    Malicious Website Warning

Each time I click on the "Good Morning, Good Evening, Good Night" thread in General Discussions I get a popup from MalwareBytes that a malicious website has been blocked. I imagine there is a hotlinked image in that thread that is causing the popup...??

Thanks a lot for the heads-up. Did a quick check, 3 members used images hosted on this site in 53 posts.

Not sure how reliable Malwarebyte is, my Chrome doesn't report this site. Many reports seem to be false alerts.

No problem here with Firefox, chrome or IE.

Jim, I'm running Firefox, but the warning is from my anti-malware software, Malwarebytes, not from the browser.

That seems to have worked; no longer getting the popup warning.

What I do before I pass on an image is to scan it with my virus checker first. Of course, if it had malware to begin with, it would have been blocked before I even knew there was malware there. But not always. In fact, that just recently happened to me. It was not on this site, but on another website. But one never knows, is why I scan anything first before I pass it along.

Both Firefox and Chrome have built-in anti-virus protection, I found them very accurate, no false alerts, no missed warnings. Found out a hack when Chrome blocked my site.

Agree. I mostly use Firefox but occasionally Chrome as well.

You must stay busy trying to ward off hackers; it's a full-time job nowadays. Thanks for your help.
