Glad to hear they all made it out.

I bet that coach has mixed feelings about getting out of the cave. He's got some serious explaining to do and I would imagine the possibility of facing trespassing and child endangerment charges as well.

I wonder if the Thai gov't will try to get reimbursement for the rescue from the coach or the players families?

I saw that a doctor and 3 Seals are still in the cave.

I heard on the news about a week ago that Thailand is not blaming the coach.

What brave children. And some couldn't even swim. I have grateful tears. It's so scary in dark water like that.

(I know about underwater in total darkness because I went scuba diving in my 20's in CA and Mexico at midnight because that's when the lobsters come out. I was sharing an underwater flashlight my husband was using. I would look away, into the deep dark abyss, and trembled in fear for what might be heading my way)

So happy they all survived and are doing okay now! Sad though that the rescuer had to perish.

Yes, certainly praise God, AND all the brave individuals who made the ‘choice’ to help.

    Finally....
Medic, 3 SEALs emerge from cave

The leader of the Thailand cave rescue says a medic and three SEALs who stayed with the boys in their dark refuge are now out of the cave.

I've been holding by breath for this. Now, everybody is out.

All out - great news. Sad that it cost the life of a rescuer.

Me too, Radish Rose...............These brave, selfless rescuers are nothing short of amazing human beings! Thank God for this outcome. I feel so sad though for the volunteer rescuer who lost his life....a hero nonetheless, to give his own life to rescue others.

I guess everyone is following this but on the News tonight they said that rains came as soon as the boys got out. The divers had gone back into the cave to retrieve all of their expensive gear...like 100 oxygen tanks.

While there, the rains filled up the first open area, then the second, then half of the third so the divers had to abandon all of their equipment and barely made it out in time.

I'm sure there will be global outpouring to pay for all that was lost and then some.

Whew, I hadn't seen this part yet. Maybe when the water recedes, some of those tanks might be recovered.

I feel sure the Thai government could cover the equipment but I wouldn't be surprised if the US and or other countries will host them to a visit to someplace special.

That "medic" is an Associate Professor from Adelaide University, and a fully qualified doctor, an anaesthetist. He is now in mourning for his father who died while he was in Thailand.

I'm sure it would be very popular.

A similar movie was made about two Australians trapped in a tiny space when the roof of a gold mine in Tasmania collapsed. They were underground for two weeks. When rescued they were able to walk out. It was a big hit over here because we were all curious to know how you can survive being pinned down in a lying position for two weeks.
