    They hate wind.

People that itch from bites are slightly allergic to them.

There must be something you can eat or drink that will repel them. Maybe alcohol will make them drunk so you can swat them.

In Canada it's the blackflies that are the menace. They get on you and bite and you don't feel them until later. And then the itch starts and I am allergic to them. My forehead swells up.

The natural predators of mosquitoes are the dragonfly and bats.

Unfortunately, me neither, it's one of many essential oils I can't have skin contact with or the hives come out. I still have a bottle of it and other oils sitting in a cabinet I rarely use except on occasions to deter pest around closets and doorways. Even the lavender, I have to be careful with, but I still use it as a sleep aid, just not in a spritzer anymore.

But for most people there are a number of essential oils that are great deterrents and soothers, but, always use a carrier oil with them. I suffered a serious burn in July when I dropped some oil on my foot, the scab is finally gone and my foot finally stopped hurting about a week ago. It was really bad, so please, always, always mix essential oils with something like almond, olive, coconut, grape-seed or similar oils before applying to skin.
