Hello everyone from the Adirondacks of NY

    Hello fellow seniors,

I have been getting so much info from this site the last few months. It's great. I thought I had better join since I retired 3 weeks ago. I will have lots of questions. Hopefully I can help someone else at some time.

Welcome. Adirondacks, my old fishing grounds when my dad was alive.

    Welcome, Erika!
If we're ever in a situation where I am "the voice of reason", then we are in a very, very bad situation.

    Welcome Erika!

I hope you'll share the Adirondaks here... the love of my life. Hiking, canoeing and exploring... I knew the Rangers by their first names. But... that was sooo many years ago. 1960 to 1979. Slept in every Adirondak Shelter in the entire park. Old Forge to Tupper and all places in between. With friends, Dear Wife, our four kids, and Scout Troops and church groups. Fondest memories.

Thank you all for your warm welcome.

Tom Young, I used to hike when my boys were young. Even did a couple high peaks. So nice that someone on here knows the Adirondacks personally. It's getting pretty cold and snowy. We are trying to sell and move to Florida. Too hard for us here.
