That is a sure way to get logged out, but thank you Holly for answering.

It should. I think hollydolly’s idea is a good one and should be done every once in a while.
Sometimes when my iPhone acts up ‘clearing cookies’ is the only thing that works.
Then when you log back in, make sure to click on that box that says ‘stay logged in.’
    it should work.

Does everyone realize that not logging out opens you up to hacking? I'm IT in a former life. There is no such thing as security, but there is such a thing as limiting your exposure.

"....When you log out, the website stops accepting that session cookie. If you don't log out, any one with that session cookie can continue to act as you.

You might say, since only I have the session cookie, that's OK. Well, not quite. If the website generates session cookies that are predictable, someone can guess it. If the session cookie is sent on an unencrypted connection, someone watching your internet traffic can capture it. And, malware on your machine can also get the session cookie and send it to its mother ship....".

    and then.............

"....If you use a wireless network, chances are that someone else using the same wireless network can see your network traffic. That means that coffee shop or hotel with free wifi just might be giving you the opportunity to allow a hacker into your account. HTTPS stops that from happening, or at least makes it harder. Even if you use HTTPS, though, some badly designed sites include the session cookie with unencrypted side connections....".
Growing old is like being increasingly penalized for a crime you haven't committed.

When you clear your cookies you also get rid of your saved passwords so you will just have to log in.

On your I phone? If it's like an I pad, you can just try shutting it down and restarting it instead of clearing everything which to me is a last resort.

I only clear my cookies as a last resort which isn’t often at all but thank you. That was nice.

If you clear your history and cookies you will have to log in again because the passwords are stored on your browser.

So write the password down in case you have to log back in.

With Firefox browser you can find the passwords stored by clicking on Security. All the sites you have saved show up. It asks you if you want to reveal the passwords.
