Laundry..."....

In our apt complex, you decide what day you want to do your laundry, with 2 hr intervals e.g. 9-11am
There are 3 washing machines&dryers
What annoys me the most, some residents try and use your laundry time without asking permission.
This happened to me 2 yrs ago, when the washing machine was done,I opened&tossed the person's laundry on one of the dryers&left a nasty note

After reading these posts, I'm feeling much better about laundry. Our house is all on one floor -- no basements here. I did three loads of laundry yesterday afternoon. DH helped fold, I hung the shirts up, jeans and socks waited til after dinner. Easy peasy. You wanna hear me gripe? Ask me about cleaning the bathrooms...

Well, nothing really. Before I moved here, in May 2018, I lived in an off the grid home and had to wash my laundry by hand and hang it even when it was freezing out. Not having running water (unless you count running to the pump to hand pump it) for almost 20 years has made me appreciate it so much. I cried when I took my first shower. I have a nice laundry room downstairs on the lower level of my building and I can put my clothes in the washer and come back upstairs until it is time to take it out. I hang some items in my shower and dry some in the dryer. But with just me here, I do not have a lot of laundry because I never get behind on it.

I have to go outside and down the steps to our community laundry room. I've gotten so used to doing it. I am so glad that our laundry room was updated...new machines using cards, not quarters that I don't find that annoying. Before the refurbishing took place, I used a mini washing machine and spinner for awhile and that was a process because the system was only semi automatic. We are not allowed to have regular or apartment sized washers. That makes me appreciate our laundry room even more. I do have an electric dryer in the apartment. What's annoying is I can never catch up!

That no matter how carefully I check each and every pocket, the minute I turn my back on the washer, a tissue weasels its way into the machine. I wish "lint-covered" would become fashionable...……..
So true. I also hate separating laundry . My daughter thinks I'm crazy, everything she washes goes in together. I do my sweaters and more fragile items on the delicate cycle and hang them to drip dry.

I hate my new washing machine I can't fill it to soak and I'm a great soaker. I called the company and they said the machine I bought doesn't have that option. Who would have thought to ask that? Next you will have to remember to ask if it comes with an agitator or do I have to stand there and do it manually with a wooden paddle. Another reason why I hate wash day.
