How did you ladies meet your wonderful man?
Me too! I was with my ex b/f and he was with a mutual friend. I knew that night that I was going to marry him.In the pub...
That’s so darn cute.At church. I was 8 years old and he was 10.
Well, My husband has passed away. But on one of my treks to Alaska, my truck and I were bargeing from Scagway to Seattle. The ship docked at Sitka and bussed us downtown for an hour. ( I had written an article for an Alaska magazine and he had a profile written about him in the same issue.) I was in a downtown art gallery and it was raining HARD! Everyone was cowering; afraid to run to the bus because they would get wet. I heard this deep, DEEP voice behind me, "Walk into the storm like you own it!" I was intrigued! Looked around and "Holy CRAP! Picture Gregory Peck, a young Clint Eastwood, Sean Connery, and Tom Selleck all rolled into one! He said, "I know you! You're the lady that wrote the article about traveling to Alaska!" I said, " I know you too! You were the man featured in the magazine!" We exchanged addresses and he wrote to me, called me, sent me a ticket to fly up there again! Wow!I met mine at work, where did you meet yours Gaer ?
Honey?? What's that? Actually, after moving back to my home town after retiring, I can't even seem to find women friends let alone a honey. It's certainly not because I never get out and about. I'm always out doing something - book clubs, concerts, hiking, my regular coffee haunt (Tim Horton's). . .alas, most everyone with whom I interact is married. . .and they don't need a third wheel.
Not looking to move anywhere. Actually, most fellows don't like what I'm looking for anyway - don't want to marry. . .don't want to live with anyone. . .just be nice to have a bit of romance in my life.If you're looking,, , ,In Alaska, 18 times more men than women!
Most fellows I know are looking for exactly the same as you Marlene !Not looking to move anywhere. Actually, most fellows don't like what I'm looking for anyway - don't want to marry. . .don't want to live with anyone. . .just be nice to have a bit of romance in my life.
Wow, that sounds like the opening chapter of a romantic novel Gaer, what a lovely way to meetWell, My husband has passed away. Ah,. I must live in the wrong place. Most of the ones I meet are looking for a caretaker and too many of the married ones are looking for a bit on the side. Uh, thanks, but no thanks. Most fellows I know are looking for exactly the same as you Marlene !
