Celebrate the small Victories in life

Thanks for this thread Meanderer ;) ...I do many of those things on the link list. I bookmarked it, too, so I can go back over it..I'm forgetful, too:LOL: One thing I like to do is..put on my long robe that warms me up on these chilly mornings. 🤗(y)

I like this post. I celebrate lots of victories like this. My GD was just diagnosed with strep. In the panic over the corona virus, Walmart is out of ramen, her fave comfort food. I had three packages of ramen to give her mom. I'll never miss them.

I don’t brag. Really, I don’t and I don’t like being around people that do. However, my small victory was when I retired after 33 years of flying without a reportable or recordable incident or accident during my career. I was honored by United at a banquet held in Washington, D.C.

Oldman: You're 6 ft 4 inches tall, an ex-marine, an ex- airline pilot (perfect record) , You probably look like Tom Selleck and have a beautiful wife, a lovely home; I KNOW you have an incredible car! I think you've probably racked up every victory known to man! Congrats!

Wow! You make me sound like something out of a Harlow novel. I would like to tell you that I drive a Tesla, but I drive a 2020 GMC Terrain. My wife has the fancy smancy car. I do own a 2001 Corvette that I keep as my cream puff. Being 6’4” isn’t a great thing. Try and guess how many times that I have been moved in a theater. Being a pilot was my passion. One of the items on my bucket list was to fly on the Concorde, but that isn’t going to happen. My home airport was Dulles (IAD) in Washington, D.C. and I would sometimes see it sitting at the gate as I would taxi by it and I would think to myself, “One of these days.”

Seeing the seeds sprout that I have in pots on my window sill.
A text from my daughter tonight telling me she would like to plan another Mother/daughter trip.
All the happy videos of animals that have been rescued, or placed in loving homes.
I love that Ruth....When we get home I will take a Mother/daughter trip or a shopping trip....I miss my family....
We'll be going home in April.....We are on a long vacation, but I miss everyone.....
