How's everyone doing during these "isolated" times?

So, how is everyone doing being "isolated" during this trying time? Sue and I are hunkered down and my plan was to get back using the computer, watch TV, wear my pajamas all day and catch up on my PlayStation 4 games. Well, things aren't going as planned....

I didn't know that there was so much stuff to do around our place.

Sue says I can't wear my pajamas all day as it looks weird and not very becoming. Also, must trim my beard, comb my hair and breakfast does not include chocolate bars.

Then there's the recently arrived to-do list. I won't bore anyone with the list but it includes painting the upstairs washroom. If anyone remembers how my painting of the basement went.......

Keeping in touch with family through video "conferencing" and being reminded NOT to go out, order groceries through the 'net and, if one MUST go out be sure to "social distance." Well we like to go for long walks so I suggested we go walk after midnight. That was quickly shot down.

Anyway, Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.

So far, so good. We're used to a quiet lifestyle, and live in the boondocks, so some degree of "isolation" is fairly normal. I've got plenty of outdoor work to do...weather permitting, and my wife is keeping busy doing a bunch of sewing, etc. Our visits with the kids and grandkids is down a bit, but we still stay in touch with phone calls, etc. Perhaps the biggest "impact" is we can't go to the casinos...they are all shut down....but that saves us some money.

Just when I was ready to socialize again in life this isolation was required. I'm quite used to isolating, it's been my lifestyle for so long. What's bothersome is going for walks and worrying about sick persons walking around coughing. I caught something from someone a few weeks ago but it wasn't "the virus". May have been a touch of the flu but since I had a flu shot it wasn't so bad. Having trouble sleeping worrying about so many things going on.

Other than that life is the same for me and my pet family. And thanks for asking...;) (y) 💗 🌹 🦉

Moose, nice to hear from you again. Feels like it's been awhile. Thanks for your funny post today!

I think pajamas are quite the fashion statement these days, so tell Sue to catch up with the times.......

And chocolate for breakfast? What could possibly be wrong with THAT? I had a bowl of chocolate ice cream for breakfast this morning and I was quite pleased with myself!

OK, thanks for asking!

Haha! Todayi snuggled up with Bert Landcaster, Gregory Peck, Glenn Ford, Gary Cooper, Rod Taylor, streamin. But what I'm REALLY looking for is a cross between Dan Hagerty and Monte Wooley. If I don't hear a man's deep voice pretty soon, . . .! TeeHee!
Tomorrow, I'm going to learn to do some TikTok dances, maybe some artwork. Hope you all have a nice Easter!

I'm living with a lady that has Bi-polar and she is real manic right now because of this virus. Myself I could live in my house for a month without a problem as long as I have food and the internet.
She now in a mental hospital because of her Bi-polar and might be staying in for weeks. I need the rest from her. She would stress anyone out.

They have medication for that. Does she take any?

I work a half days, Mon-Fri, so that helps, but these weekends are hell on earth. I think my wife is getting ready to shoot me. She had the 9 mil and the .380 out cleaning them and I asked her if she was going bear hunting and she said, "You could call it that."

Yesterday, I fixed a leak in the washtub facet. That took all but about 15 minutes. Spent an hour on the treadmill and then another hour doing stretching and calisthenics. I watched "Pale Rider" for the third or fourth time and then paced the floor like a caged tiger for about three hours. We are probably going to need to replace the hardwood flooring in the TV room after all this is over. I did get a few phone calls, so that took up a little time. I am not a phone person. And, maybe an hour on the computer. Went to bed at 9:00. I was thankful when it was bedtime.

After watching church on the Internet this a.m., I don't know what's going to go on after that.

She good when she takes her medicine but when she doesn't watch out. For the first time in four years living with her she's put herself in a mental hospital after me telling her I can't take it no more because of the stress.
I have heard from other friends who have a relationship with people that take meds for bi-polar and they tell me that they will stop using their meds from time to time because it causes them to feel freaky and not theirself, restlessness, can't sleep and other issues. Sounds horrible to me.

She's in the hospital now?

I am a "lucky ducky" who lives in an apartment with some really nice folks. We are getting together tonight for coffee & pie & "chin wagging". Yes, we will limit to 10 & yes we will keep 2 meters apart but we will have a nice time. Better than sitting alone. Family gatherings are out; I'm afraid for this year.
