Anyone ever try cooking spray to remove soap scum? I just read it works.
Is this for in the shower or tub? Isn’t there more potential to miss removing some of the spray & ending up having a fall.Anyone ever try cooking spray to remove soap scum? I just read it works.
So what's the magic ingredients in cooking spray?Well, I'll be damned! I had some canola oil cooking spray and soap scum on the faucet end. I've tried so many ways to remove this. Sprayed it with the cooking spray, waited 10 minutes and IT WORKED!
I'm astonished!
The only thing that works for me is full strength bleach. I put it in a spray bottle and I make sure I label it so I don't use it on my plants.I'll have to get some cooking spray. I haven't used it for 35 years. I use just oil. What about stubborn toilet stains? Nothing gets rid of them entirely, not even SOS pads.
Good tip. The shower curtain is another story. A sponge maybe. The best defense is a good offense.

Before you get out of the shower take a minute to wipe down the tub surround with an old towel similar to the way the kids at the car wash dry your car then toss the towel in the laundry every week.
It's worth a try. Thanks. The only thing that works for me is full strength bleach. I put it in a spray bottle and I make sure I label it so I don't use it on my plants.
I use Comet on my tub and sink. I use vinegar on my shower walls after I wash them with soap and water.I just finished cleaning my bath tub from the soap scum from showering.
I used a diluted water and bleach solution.
It took a bit of scrubbing but it worked and then it was easy to rinse off.
How would you ever clean cooking spray ?
One would assume you rinse the spray off like all cleaners.Cooking spray........great idea, especially if you enjoy fractures, surgery & lots of bed rest.
How would to remove it if you sprayed in on your oven top? You should not use bleach on grout so I hope your solution is very weak if your are washing the tiles as well.I just finished cleaning my bath tub from the soap scum from showering.

I would never spray it on my oven top. My tiles are not grouted. It's a solid sheet of some type of plastic. How would to remove it if you sprayed in on your oven top? You should not use bleach on grout so I hope your solution is very weak if your are washing the tiles as well.
Yep. I'm sick of looking at this one. What type of shower curtain do you have.
If plastic, toss it. They’re dirt cheap. You don’t want mold. The other option is to soak it in a big basin of hot water & a cleanser.
If a material type, wash it in the washing machine on gentle cycle. Hang to dry.
We squeezey the shower walls and then give a quick wipe down after every shower.
Not true There is a product called "Delete Germ" and I guarantee you it will wipe out your bowl stains. Have you looked in you toilet tank? If it is rusted shut off the water supply and flush them mop up the residual water and let dry. Then apply Delete Germ and after letting it penetrate for a while your tank won't resemble what it was.I'll have to get some cooking spray. I haven't used it for 35 years. I use just oil. Oh, yeah, even put disinfectant in the tank. It does not reduce the staining. The stain is the color caramels. It's the only one in the house that does that. The others are fine. Where do you buy the product you recommend? Not true There is a product called "Delete Germ" and I guarantee you it will wipe out your bowl stains. Have you looked in you toilet tank? I'm assuming the bowl has the stains, not the tank. Not true There is a product called "Delete Germ" and I guarantee you it will wipe out your bowl stains. Have you looked in you toilet tank?
