...Compared to what we got now and the choices we face in the next Presidential election, he could be a breath of fresh air. Try not to connect the name BUSH to other members of his family ,but try to look up his past history in politics including as Governor of Florida.

6 years ago I was all in favor of a women in the White House for a change but I dont want another Washinton insider or inside the beltway know it all to keep to screwing up this country for another 4 years.

Mine neither.. He was a mediocre governor at best, with many failed policies.. He hasn't held office since 2007.. WHY would he even entertain the idea of this is beyond me.

John Ellis Bush won't get my vote either, if he does get votes, it will be because people want another Bush in the White House, they have short memories.

LOL....exactly, SeaBreeze, I don't think Jeb has a realistic view of what the world thinks of the name 'Bush'.

I had to suffer with the Bush jokes and the image Americans got because of him while I was still in my adjustment period after moving to the UK. I moved here about 7 months before he was 'elected' in 2000. And in 2004 some people demanded that I explain why he was voted back in! No, I didn't succumb to the temptation to claim I was Canadian. :D

This is the thing that upsets me. WHY do people DEMAND we explain anything to them? Are they so stupid to know that one individual can do nothing and demanding an explanation is insulting... So exactly what is they would have wanted YOU to do about his re-election?

Not even in the top ten I'd choose as the Republican nominee, but still would be an improvement over what we have now.

That's good to know... I'm thrilled the Far Right would not vote for JEB.. Here's hoping someone like Cruz or Huckabee wins the nomination.. I'm rooting for them!!

It was really annoying! One of them was the trainer at my gym and she kept asking me to explain why so many re-elected such an idiot. How the F*** should I know! I didn't vote him!

Dr. Ben Carson = Brilliant Man.

Seriously? He's pretty far out there.. He's got some fringe views so he will never carry independents.. Best look for someone who can win in a General.. He isn't any better than Herman Cain.

The Right would be better off with a moderate.... Jeb, Christie, or even Romney (perish the thought) John Huntsman is an example of someone who could have won a General, but he couldn't make it past the primary, because the Far Right hated him.. So much for a Republican in the White House any time soon. Radicals can't win.

I always vote in US general elections. However, my vote is always wasted as it counts in the last state I lived in - TN. But I'll continue to vote anyway.

So what you're thinking is stick with the same old types of politician we now have in Washington...right?

Maybe the Jeb is a breath of fresh air in D.C. that we are all screaming for.

I can't believe how political people are in their everyday conversations, to each his own I guess. Explains why there's so many angry folks walking around nowadays. :playful:

Perhaps you should have just said.. "Because Americans are stupid" and that probably would have satisfied her.

Or just the same old stale 2007 crap that didn't work. Trust me... not many people are screaming for JEB.
