Midwives have been told to say “chestfeeding” instead of “breastfeeding” and to replace the term “mother” with “mother or birthing parent” as part of moves to be more trans-friendly.

Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust is the first in the country to formally implement a gender inclusive language policy for its maternity services department, which will now be known as “perinatal services”. Staff have been instructed that “breastmilk” should be replaced with the phrases “human milk”, “breast/chestmilk” or “milk from the feeding mother or parent”. Source: The Times

Reminds me of the stupidity that unfolded 10 or so years ago, where "Merry" Christmas was out, and the politically correct greeting was "Happy" Christmas.

Well let me tell you, not once did I say "Happy" Christmas, and in fact, I said "Merry" Christmas even more and louder while out in public, just because... because I was just looking for someone to call me on it so I could give them a royal piece of my mind.

Well, I offended. Hrrrrrrrumph! o_O

I, for one, will always (hope) to see breasts for what they are. ;)

Will men now have bags of milk implanted in the chests so they can "chest feed"? I guess we know what happened to the "manly man". He became politically incorrect on the way to eventually becoming ... illegal!

Talk about an out of control world. I'm glad I'm old and seen the good parts of life. I feel sorry for the children growing up in this political correct world now.

I wouldn't doubt it. Next they will be having babies.

Well I can find humour in just about anything and find it healthier for ‘my’ mental health 🥰
I know where you're coming from Keesha, and there are times where I can conjure up a laugh, too, over doltish things, but not on this one.

Those behind this have a geranium in their cranium.

@mellowyellow is nothing sacred any more

I presume this whole thing has been started by men....and the intention is to make real women feel totally de-moralised.
If a man is unhappy with his body and chooses to live as a woman, he is perfectly at liberty to do so...but he shouldn't expect society to change its rules just to accommodate him.
