Tip For When Those Half Gallons Won't Open

I often get some kind of "milk" in half gallon containers. For the first time the round thing to open it would not work. I really tried to get it off and even to bite it open but it wouldn't budge. So I really wanted to put some of the soy milk in my coffee but couldn't open the dang thing. I tried what we used to do next--open up the seemingly glued packaging at the top. I finally got that open but then was left with an open container that might just spill next time I attempt to use it.

So, I had a cleaned plastic container of what used to be V8 juice. I had cleaned it real good some time ago. I opened it up and put a funnel in it and then poured the entire container of soymilk into it. Worked fine. Problem solved.

I should have said "channel locks" because they are adjustable to the width, sorry!

A bit off topic. Someone mentioned a method to open a pill bottle that you have to squeeze as you twist. What was the secret? Swearing at it hasn’t helped in the least.
That's a child proof cap, they wouldn't think to turn and twist at the same time.

Perhaps there's a better secret, But I specially request from the pharmacy. (any and every chemist)

to use regular simple covers on mine, and not the lock ones.
Some have wanted extra reassurances and my signature, that I realize it is not child-proof.

They automatically put childproof covers on ALL meds, unless requested specifically.

I, too, in the past have requested non-childproof caps on my prescriptions. Now my pharmacy has a new kind of top that can either be childproof or non childproof. They are pretty easy to figure out and use. I get mine at CVS.

You are probably failing to use the proper swear words. I can help you with that. But, I understand your dilemma. What seems to work is putting downward force on it at the same time while continuing to swear a blue streak.
