My Aunt crochets. Last Christmas she gave me a little stack of what I thought were potholders. But she said they were dishcloths (I don't have an automatic dishwasher). They are the best thing ever for washing dishes! They scrub without scratching and they don't get stinky as quick as regular dishcloths. I assume they aren't a great home for bacterial growth. I hope she gives me a few more next Christmas.

Hi Patricia!

I don't crochet but my mother did and I have all her finished projects all around my home now. Her afghans keep me warm at night and her potholders are on display in my kitchen plus I have a stack I use daily.

Welcome Patricia! I taught myself to crochet and made a few things, then got very busy and put it aside. When I get a good bright lamp I may take crochet up again, I have the supplies at hand.

I live in Schenectdy NY. I crochet all the time. Have a new Project going. I am making Christmas tree ornaments, Hope to be able to sell them. Don't know how just now but I will figure that out soon enough.

My mentor in college showed one stitch and I spent my entire college years doing that just one and now have a huge blanket to show for it. Did learn to add a trim around it.... Try these Free ideas
