I have a refurbished Pixel2 that I bought off Amazon (maybe three years ago now?), I was resisting modern phone usage up until then and only got it because I was going on a vacation to Europe and knew I would need some newfangled features.
I'm amazed how useful a smartphone is, every time I get a facetime video call from my daughter I feel like I'm living in the Jetson's time. And it is so convenient to talk to it ('set a timer', 'set an alarm', 'what foods are good with mustard', 'how to crockpot hamburger', 'happy meowing cat', etc etc).
But, I am still not using the driving directions that talk to a person, coworkers and daughter have shown me multiple times but I haven't had a real need yet so I keep forgetting what to do. Also, it would use data and I've got a super cheap $11 a month plan that only has enough data for contacting the grocery stores from the parking lot pickup spots (seems like) (tho I guess I could maybe connect to the store wifi instead).
