Are you a pacifist?

It's kind of an outmoded word these days, but I do consider myself a pacifist still. I dislike hatred and division more than anything. Don't get me wrong. I would fight for myself and loved ones, but peaceful diplomatic solutions to problems such as we seldom see are much more appealing than constant bullying and rank division.

I agree Chic and Aunt Bea......
I am a pacifist to a point; we shouldn't be having these wars.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a pacifist as long as things are going my way. 😊

"The pacifist is as surely a traitor to his country and to humanity as is the most brutal wrongdoer." - Theodore Roosevelt

"Everyone's a pacifist between wars. It's like being a vegetarian between meals." - Colman McCarthy

Weren't most of us Pacifists during the Nam war?
But, In WW11, everybody rolled up their sleeves, gave up coffee and sugar and rubber and gasoline to get behind the boys!

What would our stance be if China and Russia and Iran got together to attack America? Would you still be a Pacifist?
(Something to think about)

For sure, I'm a Pacifist! Don't believe in war, don't believe in fighting. Guess I'm a "peace loving" type of guy who believes "make love, not war." Gee maybe I'm an old hippy!

You know what really bothers me about war is this. The politicians who cause the war never fight. The "suckers" who do the fighting has, in the past, been young men in their early 20s. Maybe it's some person's idea of population control but I bet there would be absolutely no more wars if we forced the politicians to fly the bombing missions or crawl through mosquito infested swamps to face the enemy. No not our leaders. They remain in their soft and comfortable chairs in their A/C or well heated offices and talk about defending their country for liberty, etc. etc. etc. Guess some things just aren't fair!

I would love to be a Pacifist! it's a peaceful, Heavenly, beautiful idealism! It would be wonderful to believe in a utopian civilization, in the nobility of mankind!
But, I also believe in American individualism and in fighting for our freedoms, for which we are quickly losing!

I'm no longer idealistic. This is a lowly world. War is already being planned in the minds of men. It's too late to turn back.
It's time to send us all back for recycling or submit to Communist China.
IMO!
