More and more, it appears that Covid, and it's mutations, will be with us for a long time. Just as one variation seems to be waning, another pops up and starts spreading. The disruptions to our normal routines are likely to be with us for quite some time, and the recommendations will seem to change frequently. Booster shots may well become an annual event.

OR....this may be Mother Natures way of creating Population Control, as thousands of deaths become millions.

I wouldn't mind having another booster sooner. I agree it sounds like we are all going to catch it now that it is so infectious (or contagious, I'm not sure what the right word is).
It sounds like hospitals might be struggling for a couple months tho, so I'm thinking once hospitals are doing better I will start venturing out into the world again. I sure wish I could get a second booster before that just to up my chances as much as possible of having a light case. I've had bronchitis a couple times in the past twenty years and it was miserable for me. I guess I am a weenie about being sick.
 
I've thought since the beginning it was bio terrorism out of China.....and it will be an annual booster like the flu shot.

Do not ever want to be infected with current forms of the disease that damages cardiovascular systems possibly in subtle ways not immediately obvious. For 21 months now I with 3 Pfizer shots have avoided it to this point despite going out in public masked up to supermarkets and like public places or resort skiing much of last winter. Over the last 3 decades have averaged about one head cold every 3 years plus just one case of influenza so much healthier than average people, much less seniors. Key with COVID-2 is be masked and careful indoors, briefer is wiser.
 
TV news (Canadian station, can’t remember which one) had a clip about a woman who had all the symptoms yet the nasal test showed negative. She decided to do the test inside her mouth, tongue, inside cheeks - instantly showed as positive.

To get a test kit, we have to go to a regional health authority. A friend is much too ill to go and no one is allowed to pick it up for him. He’s finally improving but won’t know if he had it or not. A lot of stupid rules in the system.

Covid-19 won't cause a blip in population in the long run. Deaths in people of reproductive age are minuscule.

My sister and her husband (early 50s, otherwise healthy) are currently ill with it and are boosted. Caught it from their vaccinated 18 year old. One of the long-term care facilities I do contract work for currently has 25 cases in boosted residents.

I remember an episode of "Paul Hary" Many years ago when Companies started getting things made in China. He said, "little by little China will eventually take over America". It's now happening in a big way, first computer chips for cars, then the "leaked" Conav-19, Now the boat shipping frenzy.

What's interesting NONE of the scientists in China got this or died from it?? Bet they have an antidote they took.

I think the doctor in China that first identified it DID die from it. I don't understand all the paranoia about China, they suffered from it in the beginning and they warned the world about it. So even if it turns out some researcher there wasn't sufficiently careful with sterilizing bat blood samples it doesn't mean they engineered the virus or intentionally spread it. But they did certainly respond more appropriately than we have, and they saved many lives of their citizens by doing so. Which in turns really helped protect the global economy, I can't imagine how bad the supply chains would be if China had let their people get sick.
 
In my state 94 percent of the cases are with unvaccinated. They did say the vaccine is not perfect long ago. Seems to be less deaths than before even though people are still dying.

My friend caught COVID and pneumonia and is vaccinated and with booster. he's on meds at home and getting better, doesn't feel bad.

He also has COPD and without those vaccines he may have died. He's grateful he got them.

Or, "That vaccine we gave you didn't help?"
Or, "We were wrong?"

The percentage rates they have given us reflect that the vaccine doesn't always stop a person from getting COVID. But the vaccines, for many, make it much less bad. That's why not as many are dying. Yes people still die now too. I think it's among those with severely compromised health mostly. There are other deaths I don't understand and not so sure anyone does totally.
 
Maybe....5 years from now....we'll get some fairly accurate statistics and evaluations about this Covid, and the vaccines. Currently, everything/everyone is in "react" mode, and the reports seem to change every week.

About the Only thing that seems to remain consistent is the news that those who are vaccinated are less likely to get seriously ill, or die.

I have COPD Using a C-Pk at night to sleep with it has 4 liters of oxygen hooked to the unit. I almost died with my 1st shot.
When in the hospital the Drs there said I should NOT get any more shots or I will die.
I do have the Pneumonia high-dose shot I got 8 years ago. will get another one my Dr. says at 10 years.

They don't understand why the shots after many months mutate & attack other organs in the body. Around here people are having heart, lungs, kidney & liver failures. Drs here is saying people completely healthy come down with all these problems long after they got their shots. Many have to be hospitalized on Dialysis machines & ask for liver transplants.

I personally know one lady in her 50s that was working full time. Health was great. She got all her shots & booster then started to feel blah. Now she is home in a hospital bed as she says she can't walk because of all the pain. also, she is on Dialysis in the home. Her Dr. said all the tests he gave her comes back related to the shots. He's hoping that the short-term Dialysis will work & she won't have to live on it the rest of her life or live laying in the hospital bed.

Our hospitals are filling up with children now that are too young to get the shots. So many do die. There are so many different explanations out there you wonder who is right in what they are saying. Sone says one thing another says something completely different.

The CCP absolutely Did Not! warn the world about until people were dropping like flies in Wuhan. Had they given earlier warning in fall 2019, there would've been worldwide research several months earlier and time is of upmost value in a pandemic. Then once the world did find out, the Chinese Communist Party refused to let WHO teams in.
 
I doubt the release was intentional, not that it really matters at this point. Had it been developed for military use, we would all be dead now, and the Chinese population would have been vaccinated against it, before it's release. You really don't want to know what has been, and is being developed in our military labs. It's all beyond crazy, but there you have it, humanity at it's worst. Been going on since the first caveman picked up a rock. Mike
