Hello, from Toronto! Enjoy those seniors discounts! I've been enjoying them for a long time, since some places gave discounts starting age 50/55 :)

I seen them being offered and always thought they were a great benefit. I retired early and could not take advantage of them. ;) I have a route allready planned out, after the big day happens... ;) One store had a reduced vanilla ice cream cone at the deli area,,, Mm-mm! I am sure they are not offered now, but I plan to check...

I know how you feel I've just been discovering this year the few discounts which are available to me now . 3 of which are the handiest.. free travel on Buses and coaches.. concessionary prices for train tickets ( we use lots of trains here in and out of the city)... ( altho' I still forget about it and drive ) Free Eye tests
 
Welcome, Chip! Never mind the senior discount, you can go on Medicare as well. I'm 64 and will be turning 65 in October. We need to enjoy all the benefits. Enjoy this great forum!
