Do You Still Wear Jeans?

Some think they are only for the young. I watched two young girls snickering and pointing at a lady today wearing jeans, she had to be over 70, but she was sporting the ripped jean look with the rips in obvious places meant to show skin, lots of skin.

They were not laughing at me and I was wearing jeans and a tee. Or maybe they were behind my back. Do the young think they have a monopoly on fashion?

Nothing a comfy as a well worn pair of jeans for me.

Personally, I think the ripped jeans look ridiculous on any age, the lady in question may have been trying a bit to hard to look fashionable (some young girls can be very spiteful)

I wear normal, straight leg blue jeans, and have black jeans as well, and intend to wear them however old I get

Does Dolly parton sleep on her back ?..is the Pope a Catholic...of course I still wear jeans, I live and die in them.. except currently when it's hot in which case I wear dresses... ..I have more than 30 pairs of jeans of all types of styles and colours..and the jeans that I wore last have rips at the knee as is the fashion..

Most of my career working in professional labs and office environments casual dress slacks. At home and elsewhere for decades, slim fit Levi 511's for everyday activities. About the only men's pants anymore that fit a BMI 23 male well as most garment makers target our wider overweight society. Infact this even will be wearing a 30x30 at a Dead& Co rock concert.

Looser Levi 505 for work out in the field in nature for example hiking, photography, and backpacking.

Levi 501's since day one. Although, the Levi's of today would not make a pimple on the butt of the Levi's back when I got my 1st pair. Seems to me a brand spankin' new pair of shrink to fit 501's back then cost around $5+/- a pair and the denim in them days methinks was heavier taboot.

I gave away dress clothes to include high digit 3 pc. suits a'ways back...still have a few pairs of some high $$$ dress shoes that never will go out of style, but one of these days I'll give 'em away. I have several pairs of cowboy boots, some dating back to the late 70's that have been resoled and reheeled a couple times over the years that are still in pristine condition on the uppers.

Speaking of Levi's, there are two pair of Levi Strauss Suede Cowboy Boots in that boot mix. They have orange Levi Tags on the outside seam, a tad below the pull ring on the right boot just like the one's on your regular jeans right side back butt pocket.

A couple months ago I was digging through a closet and found 3 pairs of perfect Calvin Klein Jeans, circa: Mid -80's, oddly enough they still fit. I am 6', 180 lbs--- just about the same weight as I was back then. Things have shifted around some though as my muscle mass has changed, yet my weight has stayed the same????

I often wear ripped jeans, but not in public, and not as a fashion statement. Every time I go to CostCo I get a pair, or two of their store brand. comfortable, and $13 a pair, and look good. Personally I think you have to be a little tetched in the head to pay 40 to $100+ a pair for jeans. Especially with holes in them. The last two winters I have opted for sweat pants in the shop, unless I'm welding.
