Hi all it's good to be here. A little background.........I put in 34 years at a major class 1 freight railroad in various positions (no pun intended). I went out two years early at 58. My lovely bride retired at 50 from the education field. We hope to travel a bit and spoil our only grand daughter.
I enjoy cooking on the grill, smoker or oven.

Welcome from Toronto. I love train travel. Took a 3,000 mile trip (Vancouver-Toronto) in 1967 as well as shorter trips. Took an overnight train in South Australia which was most memorable. Looking forward to hearing any rail stories you have :)

I 'drove' a full size locomotive once when I was six years old. In St.Louis. (they did not pay me though)
My dad was one of the last telegraph-key operators for BN.

I took a train from Ohio to Texas as a teen - what a blast! In later life, I took a train from Belgium to Italy. I absolutely love sleeping on trains! (Probably not a great idea if you are working on them!)
