Habits you have had most of your life.

I was laying in bed this morning clicking my teeth together and realized I have had that habit my entire life. Not grinding my teeth but clicking in a repetitive sequence. I remember as a young kid it would drive my dad nuts, he could hear it and would yell at me to stop. I would try by flexing my toes to a sequence or tapping the ends of my fingers, but would end up clicking my teeth again without even realizing it. To this day I may appear to be sitting perfectly still but something is always going on, I just try and hide it.

Anyone else have any lifetime habit?

I have to do a "dancing" ketchup bottle dance. When I pick up a ketchup bottle, I tip it back and forth a bunch of times, so it does a "dance". I am a ketchup nut. Of course, it has to be Heinz ketchup. The vinegar in ketchup tends to separate and float to the top. If you'll notice on a Heinz ketchup bottle, there is a strip of label directly under the cap. Over a hundred years ago, they put that there so you wouldn't notice the vinegar floating on top. And the bottle does tell you to shake the bottle. Most people don't shake their ketchup (Bad, bad people), the vinegary part flows out and leaves the thicker even so slow pouring rest.
I've been doing the ketchup bottle dance since I was a kid.

When I was a little girl, my brother and I would always have cocoa and toast before school.
When I put my toast in the toaster, my brother (to be mean), as soon as I turned my back, he would
set the timer on "burn". Didn't have time to remake it, so I ate the burnt toast.
It wasn't long before I learned to love it! Now, It's my favorite way to eat toast!

Let's see. What else?
I love being barefoot. Always have.
I love sleeping on the floor or outside on the ground. Always have.
Don't like anything elaborate or ornate. Never did.
My whole life, if there was a thunderstorm coming up, I had to run outside and immerse in it.
Always had to have long hair. Won't wear short sleeved shirts because they look too masculine.
Never did like jewelry. Still don't.
I always have to see what's on the other side of the mountain, or where a road ends up.
Always had an itch to wander anywhere by myself, and I always just "took off". No plans, just go.

There's more but you guys already think I'm weird enough!

For me I have to have almost everything in my home symmetrical or uniform. Two matching cabinets one on each side of the sofa. Cups with handles always have to face the same way. Pillows on the bed all match in order of size, same with the sofa cushions. Books go tall to short. And everything must line up or I go nuts.

There is a name for this disorder, I am sure one of you will tell me what it is  :ROFLMAO:

I can't click my teeth, They are in the plastic box soaking o_O in the bathroom.

I remember I bit my finger nails until I was 30, that's when my first kid was born. When you notice there's some poo under your nail after changing a diaper you never want to put that finger by your mouth again.

Listening to music has always been a habit of mine. When I was a teenager, I would listen to 45"s while my friends played army in the neighborhood. In the 80's and 90's, I made dance mixes, first with two variable turntables, then with two variable CD players. Now, I listen to music in my car or through my Airpods. I also always have a song in my head.

The weird habit I've had since I was a child is that I have to pull the sheet over my head to sleep. I "cocoon" in the sheets. I told my co-workers about this once during lunch and they never let me live it down!

I never take the first one of anything...like magazines in a rack. Or newspapers where you have to put $$ in to collect the newspaper. I'll reach underneath and grab the second or 3rd one.
Towels on a shelf, bread, I'll search and search till I find the one that looks just right.

I don't know if I'd call it a habit, or a weirdness.

I have never liked taking baths. Tubs are never deep or long enough, and the water doesn't stay hot enough. With showers, I can at least pretend to be a dolphin.

I never take the first magazine or newspaper in a stack.
I'm with @Gary O' on the pillow thing.
I've always read a ton of books. Thank heavens for my Kindle. I take it everywhere.

I've always been very picky about hues of colors. I either despise them or love them, except with black and navy blue. They must be just right. Also with fabric designs; they too must be just right. It's a "I'll know it when I see" type of thing. Sometimes a fabric design gets stuck in my head, that I made up, and I fruitlessly search for it everywhere. Or I saw a fabric 30 years ago, and cannot find it again, even on eBay. All this concern about hues and fabrics takes up a lot of time when I am on the hunt for something.

I grind my teeth at nite….always have and still do….now that I live alone there’s no one to complain.
I know I still do, how I can tell, my mouth and tongue when I wake up…..I have very sharp teeth. 😉😌☺️🙄.
I sleep walk…..when was a kid at home…..once I got up and made my dad a cup of coffee and took it to him in the living room, and then I went back to bed. I don’t remember any of my travels while sleeping.
I few times I was heading out the door, sleep walking, parents pointed me to the direction of bed.
Any of these times, I never woke up.
It is said you should never wake those who are sleep walking, used to bite my nails, quit early adult.
