It seemed to be a big trend in the U.S. Figured it was because of that movie Love Story.I had a daughter born in the 70's and I didn't name her Jennifer, in fact I dodn't know anyone who has a daughter named Jennifer.. My best friend is called Jennifer ( jen) but she was born in the 60's ..and I had a great Aunt Jennifer who was born in 1915
someI have not met a female with my name since elementary school.
Is your name "Pepper" or is than just you pen name? I have known a many, no hundreds, of women and men, known as Pepper. Names are just an identifier. You can call me ........anything, i'll answer.I have not met a female with my name since elementary school.
Well as I say.. my name didn't make the top ten list back in the 50's and no-one in my school of a thousand had the same name as me.., yet if I told you what it was you'd probably be surprised, because it doesn't sound unusual, everyone is aware of the name.. yet.. I stood out because I was the only one in school with it.. and equally in all my jobs no-one else has worked alongside me with the same name... but I don't think it got me noticed in a positive way.. if anything , at school at least it was negative because they remembered my name when i did wrong. but not the myriads of Anne's or Arlenes' or Lindas..my name is average but mom misspelled it so it does cause issues as someone always tries to correct my spelling on forms etc and people have to look twice to see if in system
Now imagine ( i have seen this) a bunch of resumes and some unusual name no one has a clue how to not mangle......... so the unusual ones are put off to the side........ when the manager is making calls to have someone come in for an interview.......... does that seem like parents did their child a favor making name unique.
No men called Doris here back in the day.. but Beverly, Evelyn..certainly.. way back mid-last century or before ... You're right we don't hear that any more..Coincidentally, I was thinking yesterday about names that used to be male and are now considered female.
For example, Beverly, Evelyn, Doris, Carol ( usually spelled Carroll).
When I was young, I knew older gentlemen in the community with these names.
Why, in heaven's name would Elon Musk name a boy such a bizarre name ? I predict major grief in X AE A X11's futureElon Musk's 2 yr old was given the name X AE A-XII Musk
X is the unknown variable, AE is artificial intelligence
...then I stopped reading in disgust so I don't know what A-Xll is other than 12
Is that Germanic ?My real name is Gunnar.
Is your screen name your real name? It reminds me of the Val approachmy name is average but mom misspelled it so it does cause issues as someone always tries to correct my spelling on forms etc and people have to look twice to see if in system
