Queen Elizabeth Very Unwell

Good grief, i didn't think it was that bad....she looked terribly frail and has had to miss out on a few appointments, but....to have the family with her...it doesn't look good. That's all this country needs right now  What's the code word again..."London Bridge has fallen" or "London Tower has fallen" something like that. She'll rally round...she has the best medical team in the world.

The Queen is under medical supervision after doctors became concerned for her health this morning, Buckingham Palace revealed today, as the Prince of Wales, Camilla and the Duke of Cambridge to be with the 96-year-old monarch.

Her Majesty's immediate family members have been informed about the downturn, her spokesman said, leading to her two heirs - Charles and William - going to her bedside amid escalating fears for the monarch's wellbeing.

Prince Andrew, Princess Anne and Prince Edward are all expected in Scotland with one of the Royal Family's helicopters landing in the grounds of Her Majesty's Scottish home this morning.

A royal spokesman said: 'Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.'

A statement about the Queen's health is exceptionally rare and suggests the situation is very serious. One insider said: 'This is deeply worrying. The Palace don't normally do this'.

Minutes before the statement, the new Prime Minister Liz Truss was handed a note in the Commons informing her of the development as she was revealing her plans to cap energy bills for the next two years.

Ms Truss said 'the whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime' adding 'my thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time'.

The Archbishop of Canterbury has said the 'prayers of the nation' are with the Queen, the head of the Church of England. 'My prayers, and the prayers of people across the (Church of England) and the nation, are with Her Majesty The Queen today,' Justin Welby tweeted.

'May God's presence strengthen and comfort Her Majesty, her family, and those who are caring for her at Balmoral.'

2 days ago when she had the meeting with the new PM... I said on here that she looked very frail... no-one took me seriously... :(

Her Majesty is at her Scottish home (pictured today) and is described as 'comfortable' by her staff

When they say ''comfortable'' it usually means.. there's nothing more can be done.... The thing is, she's obviously been very poorly for a while..and it's been hidden from the Public, which is really annoying. After all the Queen isn't a private Individual, she's the head of State, The Sovereign, we all pay for.. and care for.. we should at least be kept up to date with her health issues when they could affect her life.. too late now.. but this is going to be a very strange world without her in it.. She's been Queen of this country all of my life, years before I was born . In fact she became Queen when my own mum was just 17 years old..

Oh gosh I wish the crown prince would abdicate in favor of William but I highly doubt that. Charles has been gnawing at the bit for some time, not implying he wished mom ill, but I bet he wished she would have abdicated.

Oh, what do I know. I'm just a goofy American.

See, I don't agree. I really don't believe William is ready. I think he needs to have a little more time to learn the Trade, at his fathers' side.. and also still have time to spend with his young family..

Only today his 4 year old started school for the first time.. along with his elder brother and sister

I was 12 at the time of her coronation and remember it well. Gosh, she's been queen for most of my life.

She's "comfortable", not in the hospital, and all her children are there or on the way. Harry and Meghan are on the way as well. I'm thinking that not being hospitalized is telling in that there's no benefit at this point.

Somehow I thought that she'd live at least as long as her mother. I'm feeling particularly mortal this morning.

There a lot of Co-incidences with the Royal family and my own... and we've known this all my life..

For example.. most of the RF have the same names as my own family...
Elizabeth was my mother.. Charles my father.. my brother Charles.. and many other names are the same.. don't want to give too many personal details out..

My grandmother and the Queen Mother were born on the same date... ..

My father and the Queen were born within one week of each other..

..there's quite a few other things which are very similar which I won't mention.. and even to me who was born in a Castle...in Scotland

..however the one thing that is playing on my mind is that my mother died on the 13th of September, and here we have the Queen on her death bed with just 5 days to go, and I'm wondering if the coincidence will jump in once more :(

I wonder if she's had a stroke? I know it's not right to speculate and I feel guilty for doing so, but having family all rushing up to be with her suddenly, doesn't bode well at all.
yes that's what I was thinking, because altho' she looked very frail and her work ethic would have forced her to welcome the new PM.. she couldn't have been so seriously ill as to be dying 2 days ago.. so it does make us wonder if she had a stroke in the last day or 2.. .. remember Princess Margaret died of a stroke..

Obviously I hope she doesn't die, altho' it's inevitable that she will at some point, but I really hope she doesn't die today of all days. I would much rather little Louis doesn't grow up knowing that his great grandmother died on his first day of school..

It's extremely serious by the look of it..

The BBC has suspended all it's programming today...until 6pm, while waiting for the news to update on the Queen's condition..

This never happens. and only happened once before on the day following Dianas Death... not even the Queen Mothers' death..

BBC One today suspended all regular programming until 6pm in light of the news about Her Majesty's health.

All newscasters have been instructed to wear Black Tie in the event of her passing today..

Same here. I don't particularly follow the British Royal Family but I have always had a dislike for Prince Charles, since the death of Princess Diana.

Wait...what?? Black tie? Jeez....thats a bit presumptuous! There's more to this than we are being told isn't there?
