RIP Jeff Beck

This is the lineup that I always think of when I think of Jeff Beck... the jazz-rock fusion band of the '70s. The Freeway Jam period and others, but most of those concert videos have been taken down from YouTube. This is the only one I could find.
He was an amazing guitarist.

Which is the real Jeff Beck?

Heard about it on the radio as I was driving home yesterday -- bacterial meningitis. One of the most influential rock guitarists of all time, yet he never really had the full success that is contemporaries thought he deserved.

Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page paid tribute to Beck as "the six-stringed warrior" and praised his "apparently limitless" musical imagination which could "channel music from the ethereal".

Brian May said he was lost for words, but called Beck "the absolute pinnacle of guitar playing" and a "damn fine human being".

Jeff Beck had previously said of himself, "I play the way I do because it allows me to come up with the sickest sounds possible." "That's the point now, isn't it? I don't care about the rules. In fact, if I don't break the rules at least 10 times in every song, then I'm not doing my job properly.”
