What have you bought recently?

Ah, I need to replenish our BioFreeze stash... thank you for the reminder, @Pappy ! I've had the professional strength roll on and the cream and I think the cream is more effective for my needs... but I never knew why. Have you tried both and if so, did you notice a difference?

As for what I've bought... headsets this morning but they won't be here for a week. Amazon used to be so good with the two day shipping!
I’ve only used the roll on for my back. I apply it once in the morning and just before I go to bed. Never tried the cream.

I've seen regular snowmen melt. Abominable ones are just bigger and might take a little longer.
I think they are also, more abominable, than regular ones. :geek::giggle:
Though, I myself, have not personally met any of that ilk.;)
I would think they might like my habitat, more than yours and @hollydolly 's latitude, and more than @CinnamonSugar 's region, and more than the weather of our members in Texas,
but perhaps some of them, might become snowbirds, in their senior years.?:geek:

Should we move this topic to its own thread? 🙃☺️😊😄

I think we've exhausted the topic of Abominable snowmen... :D

I wear turbans that match my clothes when I'm in the house, mostly in case someone comes to the door unexpectedly or I have to go to the outside door. On occasion I might wear them to match my street clothes when the weather is warmer. I needed some pastel colored ones (except they are slightly darker than the photo and the green one is about 2 shades darker). Anyway now my turban wardrobe is complete. :) Also, I love these colorful velcro "ties" that have many uses (eg: for wrapping long, thick cords like on an iron and vacuum cleaner, also to keep my dustpan and brush together). I got the first pack from Walmart but couldn't find them when I was ready to get more. I found both these buys on Amazon.

I love those turbans, Diva.. where do you get them ?

@OneEyedDiva Those turbans are the bomb! I wish I could wear them, but my face is long and skinny so I can only admire yours and wish I could wear them.

I spent money today. Before I left work, I replenished the ice cream stash, got some olive oil cooking spray, Kleenex, and a card.

The card is for Whatsisname, the Father of My Children, and the lovely and charming second Mrs. Whatsisname. She's been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer; he's never really recovered from surgery last May that was supposed to improve his quality of life. So just a card with a note to tell them they haven't been forgotten.

How nice and caring of you to get cards for your ex and his wife. And good for you for replenishing your ice cream stash. Wish I was there with you. It wouldn't be replenished for long. 😛

Thank you. Sorry you can't ! I don't wear them out much because I like more height if there's not a bow or knot or something hanging down on the side. I'm going to see if I can put something underneath to give them height. I'm not good at wrapping the high turbans like some of the regal ones I've seen women wear. 🙁

Pretty colors.

I might spend some $$ today if DD is willing to take me out and about after she's done with work.

DGD is moving to an apartment with a roommate on April 1, and her birthday is April 12. So...a combo housewarming/birthday gift will be a vacuum. The $200 one I like and is just like the Shark that I have, is on sale at Wallyworld for $97. Then to HomeDepot for a hammer, pliers, and screwdrivers.

I've been trying to think of odds and ends that she won't realize she needs until the "oh, sh!t" instant she needs them.

Fingers crossed she'll be motivated to get a driver's license.

Will this be a first apartment for both of them? A vacuum cleaner and basic tools are great gifts!
Yes. First apartment. It'll seem like easy-peasy moving in, and when they eventually move out they're gonna say "Where did all this stuff come from?"

Motivated to get a driver's license? Why would she do something so wild and crazy when she's got Mom's Taxi Service on speed dial :ROFLMAO:

Unless she's moving next door, Mom's Taxi should be a lot less available and harder to insist on.

When my niece moved out my sister made up a care package of enough dish soap, cleanser, sponges, bleach, laundry detergent, etc. to get her started. Also gave her small containers of basic spices. A lovely idea.

A pack of four face clothes for $9. A single cloth that is too fluffy is $5, a rough, cheap cloth is $3. This was the Goldilocks package, it was just right.
That's quite a price Jules. Here of course depending on where we shop we can pay a £1,000 for a face cloth if we've a mind to.. but I use a lot of face cloths, so I don't like to pay much for them, and the ones I've got now cost just 80p each and they're really nice quality.. even the Bamboo wash mitts are only £1.80 for the pair.. and that's not in the discount store either..
