I predict that in 20 years....

Offer your predictions about what is going to come-to-pass, in the not so distant future.
My prediction: that it will be possible to transfer one being's consciousness to another.
I'm an endless dreamer... so I predict in 20 years something really big and ugly would have happened that draws the country (and world) together into the kind of "1950s patriotic and togetherness feel" we had after 9-11. Sure would be nice to get some semblance of caring and watching out for each others' back.

I was at my doctor's yesterday and he is now using AI. It is installed into his cellphone. It has the ability to do all sorts of things, but highlights the medical issues. IOW, if we are talking about his new car, it is recorded, but then we go onto something else and in 10 minutes later, we talk about the new car again, it will combine that conversation as one conversation and not multiple conversations. When he came into the office I was sitting in, he asked if I would be willing to be his guinea pig because he had never used it solo. I said Sure, go ahead.

Moving on, I can see a lot of use for AI in aviation and even mentioned it in meetings before I retired and was scoffed back then, but today, some of it is being tested.

Most of my visions are too scary, and I will not put them here because I don’t wanna put that energy out there.
On a more happy note, I do believe two things: that there will be great headway made on treating Alzheimer’s disease, and that we will be much closer to a truly free and clean energy source. I believe that this energy source has probably already been discovered and has been being suppressed, but it will soon be made widely available.

In 20 years it is entirely possible there will be no civilization as we understand it.
This is very likely. I should still be here, so I am kind of excited to see where we are going with all of this one world stuff. One thing is for sure, I doubt if China and Russia will join the club.

I fear human life will become unrecognizable from what it is now and most jobs will be replaced by AI except for artists and civil engineers. I still see plenty of both amazingly, so I'll be okay if I'm still alive.
In 20 years ?.. nooo.. I don't think so... just remember what 20 years ago was like.. barely any difference than today, we all had our computers then, we were on forums then, albeit that tech has moved fast in 20 years but nothing much else has, .. and it also feels like just a short time ago as well

Well, according to this video, life as we know it will change drastically within a generation of 1948, which would be within 20 or fewer years, and will most likely be cut very short for many if not most. I have seen other similar predictions, but this one carries a bit more weight with me.
