Weird and Common Sense Questions You Think About

I'll start with the one that totally baffles me...

Downy liquid added to every wash when you are already using detergent that gets rid of 99% of bacteria and smells.
What?!? Four fagrances are available:
fabric softeners,
Downy Unstoppables (who cares if your clothes are fresh for 12 weeks? Don't you wear them long before the 3 months have passed),
Downy Scent Beads
Downy dryer sheets in lavender and other scents
Downy Infusions (Bliss and Romantic)

So, what's the point? Makes me ponder...

Why when the batteries in the TV remote die, we always press down harder?

Why do we drive on the parkway and park in the driveway?

Why is the Airplane's black box orange?

Why does slim chance and fat chance mean the same thing?

It certainly seems like an invasion of personal privacy, doesn't it? :p
Or that some woman is stalking the bathroom with a pocket full of tampons. Perfectly normal. LOL.

My husband bought unstoppables once. My skin broke out in hives. I think they are best used for a drawer freshener than anything.
That’s overkill I think.

The things I see are on packaging rather than ads... like needing a note on shampoo that it's for external use only. Or warnings on cleaning products that they're not for internal use. Say what?! On drain unclogging products... "do not swallow." On frozen scallops... "contains seafood." On ice melt/salt for driveway... "not to be used for cooking." On a jar of peanut butter... "contains nuts." Either manufacturers just *think* people are so brainless or....

Not sure but my daughter thinks that means someone actually must have done those things at some point or they wouldn't need the warning.

I think a lot of that stuff has to do with lawyers.

Why do pages in reports and other documents often only say "This Page Intentionally Left Blank"? When in fact that statement makes the page not blank, without it the blankness of the page would be obvious...

Thanks @Right Now , fun thread

So people won't be complaining that "page 39 is missing in my copy"?

Why do apartment dwellers and laundromat users leave their laundry in the washer or dryer for hours, and then get mad when someone takes their clothes out of the machine?
A woman knew I had taken her laundry out of the dryer and placed it on top of the dryer. She looked at me and said "I never thought you would do something like that". I thought to myself she acted like I was a serial killer! I only took them out after waiting 3 hours to use the dryer. That's how long she left it in there. Geez....šŸ™ƒ
