Who Are (Were) Your Favorite T.V. Characters and Who Played Them?

A couple of my old favorites were Peter Falk as Colombo, Bruce Willis in Moonlighting, Shirley Booth in Hazel and Patricia Routledge in Keeping Up Appearances.

These days, Bryan Cox and the entire supporting cast on Succession is amazing. Also, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are incredible in The Last Of Us. Possibly the best actors ever are in Stranger Things, mostly because they were just kids when the first season aired.

As a 13-year-old, John Travolta as Vinnie Barbarino
As a 40-year-old, James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano
As a 50-year-old, Patricia Arquette as Allison DuBois in Medium
As a 60-year-old (and all through life, really), Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock (original series)
and like so many others I loved Criminal Minds and Matthew Gray Gubler!
I think Travolta is bald these days. I remember him in "Welcome Back Kotter" when he had that thick black hair.

Will Trent...be still my beating heart.
He is 'different' and oh yes, it is a great show.(y)
Here he is looking so different than he does on Will Trent. Isn't he adorable?! I love his curly hair. I was immediately struck by his reaction when he thought it was possible Betty might be put down, then his underdog status with the PD and of course, his tragic back story. I've already watched most of the series twice.

I *adored* the early 80's series, "Fame"-- not sure I can name a fave character: I guess it's a toss-up between Debbie Allen as Lydia Grant, the dance teacher or Gene Anthony Ray as Leroy Johnson, the male student with lots of chutzpah.

But I can definitely tell you my fave line: English teacher to Leroy, "You need to read more good books."
Leroy: "I read!"
English Teacher (dryly): "I don't think 'Slave Girls on Pluto' would be considered great literature."
Gene Anthony Ray was quite something. I don't know if you remember this but sadly he passed away at age 41 of a stroke due to complications of AIDS. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gene_Anthony_Ray

I liked all the lead characters in the original "Star Trek", the same for "NCIS", and "Jag". Also liked most of the medically oriented programs. Liked Quantum Leap - new and old. It wasn't so much the individual actors as it was the overall story. I'm a big SciFi fan - Stargate SG-1.
