Some people refer to Edith Wilson the first female president of the United States.

Technically speaking, Edith Wilson, first lady from 1915 to 1921, was Acting President after President Woodrow Wilson had a severe stroke in October 1919.

For the remainder of Wilson's presidency, Edith managed the office of the president, determining which communications and matters of state were important enough to bring to the bedridden president's attention, and assisting him to sign important documents and orders. The first McDonald’s to open outside of the USA commenced operations on June 3, 1967, in Richmond, Canada.
