Thanks for the info on Mrs. Hale, Deb... I looked her up-How did turkey become the traditional meat for Thanksgiving?
Some give credit for the turkey's preeminence to Sarah Joseph Hale, the “Godmother of Thanksgiving,” whose accounts of early New England celebrations emphasized a roast turkey and eventually became the model for the festivities adopted by the rest of the country.

Use two, this year? And then, you could compare them?Please pray my Turkey gets done on time (just joking). I'm always the one to cook the turkey and I don't think I've ever won that battle of being on time.
Last Year I had to use my daughters Thermometer...it was about 2 hours off!
I asked where did you get this thermometer? She replied, "The Dollar Store" ...grrr
