How many watches do you own ?

I just have the one — a black/"gold" Citizen watch on a black band. Really pretty, I think (but then, I wear a lot of black).

By the way, I once let the watch slip into a glass of water. I pulled it out, and it works just fine.

I would never spend a huge amount on a watch but do like to have the straps matching my outfits, I have 5 white for summer, black, brown, yellow and gold

How about you ?
Only one, an inexpensive sporty watch that I use when I'm out camping. I really dislike wearing any kind of jewelry.

Two—one gold (Timex) that can be dressy or casual but the face is pretty small

Then an off-brand but the face is much bigger. Use this one for work when counting pulse, etc— no need to squint 🤓

I haven't worn a wrist watch in years. I get the time on my cable boxes, on my computer, on my tablets. There's simply no need any more, since I no longer go out! I was tempted recently to get a watch just the same, since old habits die hard, and ordered a cheap one from Amazon. I had to take it off shortly after I strapped it on because it now bothered me to have anything on my wrist. Just felt wrong!

One that actually works!
Now if you had asked about clocks.....
Most of the watches nowadays work flawlessly! Their accuracy is astonishing to this old man. I worked as a clerk apprentice at a watch, chronometer factory in Germany and when watches were tested it was quite acceptable if the time was off by two minutes a day, fast or slow!

I always like to have the day and date right there with the time.

Now... if I'd just wear it all the time like I once did I might know "when" I am without asking Alexa every time I need to pay a paper bill by check or the other 18 times a day I want to know.

You no longer go out? At all? Is it okay to ask why? Is everything all right??

Covid did me in! I used to take a nice walk every day before that but isolated myself too much during the pandemic and would need a walker now to go for a walk. It shouldn't be a problem to be seen with one for someone my age, but I am still easily embarrassed and hate to be seen as old and doddering! Now I go out for doctor's appointments and hospital visits only.

I can't understand the fascination with Rolex watches. A Timex will tell you the same thing for a fraction of the price.

A co-worker once left his Citizen watch in the men's restroom and when he went back to get it, it had disappeared.
It's all about prestige and basking in the envy of others! It's a sign that you have arrived ... and it's pitiful! I don't even like the layout of the dial of a Rolex! :ROFLMAO:

Go on then, how many clocks do you own ? I have one in the kitchen, and an alarm clock on the bedside cabinet
