A Connecticut McDonalds charging $7.29 for an egg mcmuffin. Not a meal

A Connecticut McDonalds is now charging $7.29 for an/one egg mcmuffin. No meal

And a Big Meal is now over $21.

Can you say McFLATION
This kind of pricing just might be a wakeup call that anyone can prepare food at home for far less & enjoy it in the comfort of their home.

There are times when Kroger Grocery stores here sell USDA choice petite sirloin steak for $2.79 lb. Imagine having a 1lb. steak sandwich for $5.00 lb. less than an egg mcmuffin.

The only Fast food order I make is a Jimmy Johns Tuna Supreme Sub.
I have had nothing but negative experiences with ordering food at
quick drive ins and restaurants here in the USA since 2021.

I bought a Whopper at Burger King.

It was $8.70. I thought the clerk made a mistake...but nope.
Burger is the same here..I nearly passed out a few months ago. Knowing that MaccyD's is so cheap and burger king pretty much was the same last time I bought anything.. which was a long time ago... and always preferred Burger king to Mac/dees.. I got a Bacon double cheeseburger ... and a small coke, and nearly fainted when they asked for almost £13.00

. plus the burger was horrible and dry,....I will never go there again..

How long until the high cost fast food is no longer a choice?

As one of the most famous sandwiches, not just in the United States but throughout the world, the Big Mac was even enshrined in a television commercial jingle in 1974: Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun. The sandwich is so well known that the Economist magazine publishes The Big Mac Index, which uses Big Mac prices to approximate the cost of living, or purchasing power, in countries around the world. When it debuted in 1967, the Big Mac cost 45 cents, equivalent to $3.95 today; but the current average price is $5.17. These days, the sandwich price in the U.S. varies considerably from state to state.

This morning here in Toronto, the price of a McDonalds egg McMuffin is $3.99 in Canadian currency. Converted to the US Dollar that price would be $2.59. The exchange rate this morning is One US Dollar is worth $1.36 Canadian. The original price on the OP"S thread is way out of sight, by comparison. Jimb.

we had the same advert here

And Bespoke Investment Group either billed their client for the meal or will deduct it off there income tax as a business expense.

Things are not easy, I get it, but when the "rich" are complaining about a meaningless couple of $s it shows a complete lack of touch w reality.

The Big Mac don't eat and taste like BiG MaC used to.
Got an Arby Ruben and couldn't chew some of the Beef and swallow it.
Never had tough roast Beef sandwich in my life till that one.

Got a Top Sirloin at a local restaurant, 1, than another, then a Third. 1st one
I couldn't saw thru it with a steak knife, 2nd one I couldn't chew and swallow.
Third one was tough but edible. They were like range cattle Longhorn tough.
2 waitresses just hung around our table looking nervous like.

Tried another restaurant, same quality. Don't eat out anymore. I cook for her.
Only fun stuff to eat out now are Frog Legs, Chicken Brest and Catfish.
Some of the Ocean fish have Toxins in them.

Think the FSIS agency in the USDA is owned ? A bunch need to be in jail ?
