Catherine spoke out today.....
The Princess of Wales has penned a moving personal message thanking the public for their support over her cancer diagnosis and revealing she will attend Trooping the Colour tomorrow.

Kate, 42, who disclosed back in March that she was undergoing 'preventative chemotherapy' for an undisclosed form of the disease, says her treatment is ongoing and will be for several months to come.

While she will not be returning to public duties full time, she does now feel well enough, however, to undertake a small number of public engagements in the coming months.

The first will be at the King's official birthday parade tomorrow where she will ride in a carriage with her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis before appearing on the Buckingham Palace balcony alongside the rest of the Royal Family.

To mark the news Kensington Palace have also released a stunning new portrait of the princess taken at Windsor this week by Matt Porteous showing her looking well and in a reflective mood.

I wish her the best possible outcome. My sister-in-law finished radiation and chemo for breast cancer back in April. She is getting her strength back, her hair is growing back and she's back at work. We are taking her to mountains in NC, along with the extended family, at the end of the month. It will be her first time really doing anything away from home since late last year.

There are so many advanced treatments these days. I just know Kate will be back in the swing of things soon!

Meghan Markle is merely quintessentially American. Maybe many Brits find her words and behavior offensive, but she really is quite a typical American woman in her 30s. Truly typical. My daughters could hang out with her and I think they'd all get along. Maybe that means my daughters and I are all classless clods too, LOL, but THIS IS US. OR U.S.

Have you visited the U.S. Holly? We're very tacky. ;) Actually Americans range from very high class to very tacky - and then there's the high class ones who think they are classy but they are really quite tacky.

But one of the reasons I LOVED watching Downton Abbey was to watch the clash of the societal classes, listen to how they speak, how they judge one another, and then when the Americans visited! What a hoot.

But Meghan Markle is very American and very Californian. On the other hand, Kate Middleton is so refined that I think I'd feel very nervous around her, even if I were all cleaned up with a manicure, a nice color weave, and a $1,000 outfit. I would still feel like a clumsy, oafish American around her and Prince William - and yet I think they are most likely decent people.

It think the differences between these two women pretty much stem from how they were raised, which neither woman had much control over, did they?

Nothing to do with being quintessentially American... I feel that many Americans would be appalled at being compared to the Gold digging, scheming.... lying... woman that fooled the RF ....

Our hearts are with her!

What a blessing she is to the Monarchy and the country. And I do agree, she is a "class act", and is certainly someone to be admired.

I pray, "Please God, watch over her"...
I agree...

It's every parents nightmare to face a life threatening disease when their children are small.... so of course much as she would want to ensure her own life was for living she'd want it so much more for her children..

When they stood on the balcony together I thought "Pity. There's so Few of them."
well maybe.. but for the benefit of the public purse we needed it to be culled. So many of these royal hangers on were getting paid by us to do nothing but put on fancy clothes a few times a year... so now the only ones who are being paid are those appearing on the balcony...
