I admit to thinking this was one of Russell’s comedic bits. I’d like to think so.

He’s selling these amulets for over $200 to protect us from wifi at airports.

As far as I can tell he was accused of things there is no evidence for.

As for this scam, I think he's really mocking the "one born every minute" reality. People are stupid, and don't have a clue how the world works. They know this leads them to fall for scams because with effort they've even seen through a few after buying in.

So when somebody waves a humorously obvious scam in their faces they get upset. Truth is, they can't help themselves. They really want to buy it even though they know that it's crap!

It's basic psychology and I think he's having the last laugh.
