Would you ever consider having a roommate?

Well, I know I wouldn’t want to live with another woman and don’t want to wait on a husband. So if it comes to having a roommate, I’ll be searching a gay man - the neat and tidy kind we see on tv shows.

I've said that for years! If I marry again, it would be a gay man! They have disposable income, are excellent decorators and are great housekeepers!

I don’t have the energy to deal with another person in a polite respectful manner 24/7.

That’s my point too. After being married for 43 years having to look good all the time, wait on hand and foot and only his decision matterEd. It is so nice to be the number one person in my life. I am just Plain tired.

I looked at assisted living a couple of years ago after my husband died and decided 2 things: didn't want to live in a "walk in closet" and exactly what you said about avoiding fellow residents when I'm not feeling social!

I have plenty of room. Separate living room and bedroom, huge bath.

Same here! Although as someone else mentioned, I'd always take in a family member.
