Unfortunately my short attention span wouldn't allow me to read the whole list. Maybe working on that should be my New Year's resolution.

The key word in the first post is "micro". An example: Park a "fifteen minute walk", away from work (or your destination) every day. A small choice that will reap many benefits, such as fresh air and exercise. Just pick 12 out of the 60 mentioned... or 10.... and they will become part of your daily life. Knee jerk negativity has never helped out anyone. Get into the spirit of the New Year!

Usually having a great idea, well it just can't happen only in your mind.
Procrastinators out number them.

I don't see what's so great about Cactus raising, Thomas ?

If you were referring to my post I really didn't mean it as negative. I couldn't walk fifteen minutes if you paid me. I am fortunate to lurch around with my cane. However I plan on making small adjustments with exercise and eating habits. Today I had a blood orange with breakfast and on Googling it found out its many health benefits. I plan to cut down on sweets and over processed foods.

I commend you on your list and know many will find it helpful.

Several years ago I read a book- "Tiny Habits" which was a great guide for changing ones behavior in small but big ways. I'm rereading to brush up, as I want to clean up a few areas(health related) where I have backslided.

@Babs2u New years resolutions, in general, have always been a "hard sell". As your post shows us, we are able to choose small, do-able changes, that fit our lifestyle. I like to think of the New Year, as opening a "New Door"! Thanks!

Year-long resolutions don’t work. Here’s how to make 12 ‘micro-resolutions’ instead

"A mini- or micro-resolution is any behavior you commit to for four weeks. And even longer-term goals to, say, eat better or learn a new skill, can be broken down into more achievable goals on the way. Before you can land on Mars, focus on landing on the moon."

"It’s much easier to stay focused on — and dedicated to — a shorter goal, and 30 days is long enough to lay the foundation for a new, healthy habit. I’ve used a micro-resolution strategy for the past two years, and I’m more satisfied with the results than any previous year-long attempts."
