Do not buy or wear a smartwatch. The wristbands are particularly dangerous because of the chemicals used to make them. This is only one product we should avoid, and one of the health risks of smartwatches. It is shocking that our government even allows products made with such a high health risk.

“Forever Chemicals” Called PFAS Show Up in Your Food, Clothes, and Home

These toxic chemicals are so common in consumer products and manufacturing that they’re everywhere—including inside our bodies. “Forever Chemicals” Called PFAS Show Up in Your Food, Clothes, and Home

An advert keeps coming up on Youtube regarding NonStick Pans that have these harmful chemicals in , I had never given it a second thought till I saw this add.. I remember the coating coming off after a while if you scratched it with utensils. These particles can make the way onto foods . Makes you think now ...

from that link:
"Whether found in a raincoat or a pair of yoga pants, PFAS are used widely in our clothing, shoes, and accessories."
Guess you better avoid those along with that smartwatch!

I don't know for sure, but I would guess that the PFAS on your old teflon pans is probably long gone and you do not have to worry, except for all you took in when using the new pans. These PFAS chemicals are used mostly to affect surface properties and surface chemistry it seems. I have heard of warnings of using a new teflon pan at high heat.

But certainly only buy new pans that are known to be PFAS free.

I love my cast-iron skillets and Dutch oven. The Dutch oven and one of the skillets were my grandmother's. They're about 100yrs old. The other skillet was my mom's. It's a little over 70yrs old.

I re-season them once or twice a year, and I had to replace the swing-handle on the oven, but they all look new.

I’ve just returned an air fryer due to the potential of it blowing forever toxic chemicals into the air while using it ….its chemicals that are released after it’s heated :eek:……I was made aware of it by a friend ..I then contacted the supplier and they confirmed my model did indeed contain the chemicals ….ive got a email I printed and sent with the AF….i was refunded without hesitation ….

This is the chemicals to be aware of ….

Teflon coating which does have PFOS and PFOA.( the toxic forever chemicals )

products containing this chemical which is related to Teflon is going to banned from being imported to Australia from July
