Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

To you Canadian members I'm sure this is old news, but I only just recently found out about this gem of a show a couple of months ago.

Produced from 2004 to 2009, it's called Corner Gas.

I had never even heard of it until one of our local PBS stations (we have three) started running the first season. I was all set to not like it, but after I laughed out loud for about the third time, I realized I'd found a new favorite TV show.

It's set in the fictional "middle of nowhere" town of Dog River, Saskatchewan and revolves around a gas station/convenience store and the cafe/coffee shop next door.

A truly witty, original and well written show with likeable characters you wish you were friends with.

You can stream every episode of every season for free on the Roku website, no special devices required, etc.

Here's a little sample....

I am still new at this streaming stuff, having a terrible time
as want to watch local kansas city new in am/pm, and then do
the streaming rest of day/nite...but maybe my old brain will
pick it up soon.....at least I am not hearing 24/7 of new of
kansas city chiefs....yay

We watched two episodes of the Norwegian short-series "La Palma" on Netflix last night. Overdubbed, not subtitled. Moves swiftly, quite gripping... but we started watching pretty late in the evening, and didn't want to binge our way through (DW tends to fall asleep watching TV late).

I just started watching Missing You on Netflix. It's about a British cop who works in the missing persons dept, and whose dad, who was also a cop, was murdered a few years ago. She's played by Rosalind Eleazar, who is also in Slow Horses. Only watched 2 so far but I like it a lot.

Well still not completely satisfied with my abilities to find
stuff but oh well, not like I gotta take a test....last eve I found
the "Dome" series from several years ago and watched it all eve,
dunno how much more I get to watch, I had seen the original
but not all of it, so enjoyed it last eve.....still have probs finding
local news tho.....

I liked "Slow Horses", despite Oldman's over the top part. I didn't care for Eleazar's character role. Does she play a more likeable character in "Missing You"?

Accused❤️
The Day of the Jackal❤️
Just finished watching Horizon Part 1. I was looking forward to see this but was disappointed. Little continuality mainly. Slow moving. I am a Kevin Costner and a western film fan, however this film leaves me to dislike that era instead of embracing it.

What streaming service are you using?
I use Netflix the most as well as Amazon Prime; only do shows without commercials though.

Rossana, which Accused series are you referring to: the Brit one from 2010, or the American one from 2023?

I finished Safe last night. It's on Netflix. I liked it. Takes place in England and about a young girl who runs away. Her father tries desperately to find her and uncovers a few secrets with a wild adventure.

I'm now almost done with the series, but if it was going much longer I'd quit it--I really do not get WTF is going on. So not exactly recommending.
Watched the first 3 last night. Will finish up the final 2 tonight. I almost bailed after the first few minutes of the first ep, but then the mystery presented itself, and grabbed my interest. Then it seemed to turn into a semi horror plot. Good acting, with some good names.
