How many times were you operated on?

@hollydolly

I hope your surgery goes well, and you have a good recuperation. Rest as much as possible. 🤗
thanks Pinks... I nearly called it off tonight. They sent me more questions by NHS portal... telling me that the earliest I will feel little pain is 6 weeks... do I want to continue -- yes/no... the various problems that can go wrong.. do I want to continue ..yes/no...

several more questions.. and really I nearly said.. ''forget it''... it's really got me worried now....

Anyway I agreed to continue....

Basil cell carcinoma removal
Ruptured appendix
Hysterectomy
Spinal, cervical
Spinal, lumbar
Cataracts, both eyes
Stent placement
2 endoscopies, which are probably not considered surgery but anesthetic is involved.

There is one pending if the insurance will cover it. Waiting to hear. Hope so. It is needed

You are going to fly through the surgery and the recovery! Docs and surgical team will be on their toes and doing a Friday dance of joy, aka in a good mood for your surgery. Here is something to remember and think about:

In America, male anesthesiologists are 90% very fit and good looking; rather like American firefighters.
While you are laying on the gurney looking for something to do: take a survey of the operating room nurses, asking them if it is true of the anesthesiologists they work with? (Am not referring to nurse anesthetists, but the doctor anesthesiologists).

Relax and chill. Be thinking of you!

A dozen plus. Like others have mentioned cataract surgery, but unlike the others... there were three of them. A sliver was left in on the first one and required a second one.

Have had several skin cancers removed, with the last one being MOHS.

appendix, pilonoidal cyst, toe amputation, both knees replaced, 2 hernias, 2 cataracts, all teeth extracted. I have a lot of man made parts.
