How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Things moved along a bit today. I finally got approved by my insurer for a procedure I really need. It will happen next week.

Also was taken to lunch at Chic fil A by someone I did a small art job for in December. I changed the cat on my Christmas card to a dog for her and gave her some copies.

I really don't get out much so this was very welcome.
The very best of luck. Fingers and paws will be crossed.

They're not that big! Wonder if I will ever have them again. I'm going to do a scotch egg hunt on amazon.
yes they are big, your memry s playing tricks ...... you can make them small but generally they're about 4 inches the size of your hand...

Don't recall having scotch eggs with runny center, they were always hard boiled. Or maybe they only sold me the tourist version.

Oh that's great to be taken out to lunch! I like their chicken.

I must have forgotten so forgive me....you're an artist; I'm impressed. I'd love to know more.....you can PM me if you like. Did you know our own Lara is also an artist?

It was slow in the commissary today. For a time I could hear a little girl singing away. It sounded so cute. At one point they caught up and came around the corner. A young mum with an adorable toddler in the basket.
The little one stopped short, looked at me and said, "That's a Grandma!" I said "That's right! Yes!" and her mum and I chuckled.
What a delight!
So if you want to know what I look like, I look like a Grandma. 👵

Salmonella. They advise things like not to sampling the cookie dough, cake batter because of the raw egg. Kill Joys!
Oh yes they have always done that here.. but runny eggs are ok because they're already cooked, just not cooked hard.... difference between runny eggs and raw.... raw eggs are fine as long as you're not pregnant.. Bodybuilders drink raw eggs most days leading up to competitions...

My mother always gave me homemade eggnog with raw eggs to get protein in. They never worried about it.
I don't worry much about it but I find I'm not letting the Grands sample the batter, just in case.

Well I've been out of commission for a week with double pneumonia. Took an ambulance ride to the hospital and spent 3 days there. Then 4 days in rehab at my retirement community. So I just got back home to my independent-living cottage. One of my daughters and her family, including their 2 dogs, are taking care of Maggie (97 pound golden doodle) for me.

Ooh, that's not good! Hope you feel top notch soon!

I know it's an old-fashioned notion, but there's nothing to compare to getting seed catalogs via snail mail in the dead of winter. Yeah, I can see all the same stuff online, but there's just something about perusing a real paper seed catalog. I got one in today's mail. And just by mentioning it here, my home page will blow up with ads for more tomorrow. I'll ignore those.

So far, I want just about everything I see...

ETA: I spoke too soon. The ads for seeds are already popping up on my home page. I swear! If I even think something, it shows up on my home page!
