The only one I know in the OP is Arnold Stang.
I'd like to see that.I saw an interesting documentary about actors you see all the time in secondary roles but don’t know their names. I think it was called That Other Guy or something like that.
Marcy, I'm surprised you aren't familiar with Elisha Cook, Jr. He was in a ton of noir films, starting with The Maltese Falcon, then The Big Sleep. He continued in bunches of pictures up through the 1980s.The only one I know in the OP is Arnold Stang.
... or a nasty cowboy. "It looks we're shy one horse."I remember Jack Elam in western movies. He usually played a gangster.
Actually I only got into film noir recently. And thanks, you reminded me of how I know Arnold Stang.Marcy, I'm surprised you aren't familiar with Elisha Cook, Jr. He was in a ton of noir films, starting with The Maltese Falcon, then The Big Sleep. I think Arnold Stang got big when he was a regular on Milton Berles TV show, "The Texas Star Theater". I remember him on that show.
I just saw Eli Wallach, older, on an episode of Law & Order. And remembered him in The Misfits, a favorite of mine. Two American "character actors" who appeared in a lot of movies. On the left, Westerns villain supreme, Lee Van Cleef. On the right, Elli Wallach, who was sometimes a villain and sometimes cleaned up well as an everyman.
Eli Wallach was awesome in the film ‘Baby Doll’ (1956). A must see.Two American "character actors" who appeared in a lot of movies. On the left, Westerns villain supreme, Lee Van Cleef. On the right, Elli Wallach, who was sometimes a villain and sometimes cleaned up well as an everyman.
