I remember when Dukes of Hazzard's John Schneider did a country album. I bought it... and liked it.

What a gorgeous song, with unusual chord changes. And Whitman's version is fantastic, what with his pure falsetto and yodeling ability.

I also like Frank Ifield's 1962 version. Ifield also had a great voice.
