Jimi snuck in what I've always considered a Blues song, to his 'Psychedelic' first album.
The tempo and his voice remind me of the greats he played behind, like Sam Cooke, Wilson Pickett and others.

this was a HUGE hit for Manfred Mann's Earth Band in the UK in the 70's.. you couldn't go anywhere without hearing it... and even to this day it's still played on radio.... .. and as I listened to it in the car radio today.. The DJ said something I never expected....



This song was written by..........










Bruce Springsteen in 1972 and on his album in '73... Who Knew ?..... but it never became a hit until Manfred Mann released it in '76
