We are heading up to high ground above the Mississippi river Valley for a family reunion this weekend.
We believe many will be able to make it as the clean-up - flooding recedes mid-week. What a rain that was
most everywhere. We take for granted our good fortunes. So much damage!

Yeah @Trila, where are her skates?

@hollydolly Did your new fence panels get installed today and was he able to attach the spikes to the top?

This is gonna be a benadryl night for me as much as I dislike taking that stuff. I just gotta get a whole night's sleep. Gotta.
No they arrived today, my gardener is coming on Wednesday and he said he'll slot them in then.. that's of course presuming the old ones come out easily . I think I'll be the one nailing the spikes to the top..which BTW also arrived today...

Havarti is good with grapes too! I've also noticed that the Havarti these days is not quite as good. 🤔😒
I like Sharp Chedder with my Salads and Chilli. Basically Wisconsin. ... :ROFLMAO: ... Pizza's get lots of cheeses, that's Red's thing!
We are heading out searching for edible mushrooms soon too. Chicken of the Woods is a coming on strong.

Well, my day started out good but then the Dermatologist's office called. I had three places cut off my bod last week and, unfortunately, one of them (of COURSE it would have to be the place on my nose) is basal cell carcinoma. So, I'm having MOHS surgery on Wednesday. No big deal, but I'm going to look like I went seven rounds with a crazed nose-obsessed wolverine for a few weeks and what tiny smidgeon of looks I still possess, I had planned on hanging onto.

I'm hoping that they don't have to dig too deep and that I don't need a skin graft. Luckily, that kind of skin cancer doesn't usually move anywhere else.

I hate getting old. I really do. I know that it beats the alternative, but why can't I do it a little more gracefully???

Stay warm! I sure don't miss that Missouri weather.

I've just been cleaning in the kitchen, doing all those crevice type jobs.

I got the new Airfryer out of the box.. and altho' it fits on the counter, it looks like it's out of place in the place where the current AF normally sits because it's much larger , so I'm going to have to move things around to accomodate it.

I'm really tempted to go out because it's so sunny , again.., I'm drawn to the sun like a butterfly.. but I've been out 2 days in a row, so time to rest up...

On my early walk at 7 it was a tad nippy, 28.It felt even colder with a breeze,so I wore my Velcro fleece around my face as I went around the building twice before breakfast.
The local weather experts said last night we would have a dusting of snow, hasn't materialized here in the city, areas south did get some
My plan this morning, rearrange my bedroom closet ,on left side is stacked washer&dryer. I have shelves to hang my clothes, couple shelves to put my sheets/towels other things its a tight fit
The rest of my day take a mid morning or afternoon walk, read today's NYT, my book

Shopping day. Tesco had lamb at half price. Still expensive, but more affordable. I bought a couple of joints ans portioned one to give lamb for making Rogan josh. I also got a half price beef roasting joint which I'm going to portion up for making casseroles.

I see that Morrisons have whole salmon in store. I'll see if I can get one tomorrow or Thursday.

snow ? OMG we've had such sunny warm weather for ages now that it never occurred to me people are still getting snow in April

I have never tried lamb. I see their little faces and just can't do it. 🐑😬
Oh it's delicious..not eveybody likes it tho'... it's got a gamey taste to it, altho' it does have a lot of fat....but I love it..

I'm surrounded here by farm animals , if I thought too much about what I'm eating..I wouldn't eat anything.. I have to seperate myself from it...
