I'm laughing at a review left for this Hell machine... at one of our catalogue stores... they described it thus,......they couldn't be more correct, I wish I'd read that review before I bought it... I'm convinced amazon hides half the bad reviews.. I might copy this review onto Amazon :D

The instructions for loading the charged battery should state that the battery needs to be inserted very firmly. The grass collector is almost impossible to assemble. It is a piece of impertinence that such a thing can be sold to the public as being ‘easy’ to assemble; it is not. And there is no guidance on this to assemble it.

Doll, EGO 1000's are fairly good lawn mowers, first cut at a taller grass setting, figure on a couple of cuts the first couple of weeks lowering the blade a click. My neighbor likes his. I have JD gas Lawn tractors 48" - Too much lawn and mulching leaves to try the EV stuff for a Decade.

American Blue jay young are mostly light grey with bright light blue wing tips.
Think you have a young crow just getting his flight feathers on.

Heavily cloudy with light showers this Sunday. Attended and enjoyed the sermon at our early 7am mass then by 8:30am was back at the San Jose rose garden with crystalline water droplets added to rose petals.

After this earlier post went out more mornings including today and have now processed 27 subjects. 5 are duds, 3 mediocre, 9 fairly nice, and 10 strong images. Screen capture off Adobe Bridge.

All those subjects on the second day I tried to use a 6mm close up ring atop my Sigma 56mm lens have issues and I realized using F5.0 with its limited depth of field causes fuzzy results between petal edges because of how the post processing software reacts. Changed to not quite as sharp F8.0 and is working very well. Need to experiment with the close up ring to figure out what is happening so will try that with my Sony 85mm. May go out the next couple mornings given light breezes as it will help keep my mind off my date with the KP surgeon and anesthesiologist Thursday that admittedly scares me and will start several weeks of recovery if I later wake up after losing my brain waves.

Waiting for postman this morning. Apparently he was unable to deliver on Saturday because nobody was at home and so he dropped a card through the letterbox. NO he didn't. I was in waiting for the delivery, nobody called at the house and no card was posted, but I did see the post van a little further along the road. I'm thinking that he tried to deliver to my neighbours house - and he isn't there at present.

Almost certainly a different postie. Our usual postie knows to come to the back door and leave parcels there.

My phone just pinged a text message. It was work: "Can you come in later, about eleven o'clock?" Thought that they would never ask! That's my day sorted. I had better get showered and shaved. I have house-husbandly duties to do first. Breakfast for the lady, vacuuming and dusting and I must remember to sort the clean washing that I hung out in yesterday's glorious sunshine. Enjoy your day folks.

Lazy day today. Feeling pooped after yesterday's colour dash photo shoot so the plan is a trip to Wickes to buy a new toilet seat and figure out how to install it with no access to the underneath! Hmmmm... Wickes in near Dunelm! Mrs Oy will spend ages mooching around there. They have a good cafe though - I'll take a book ;)

@Georgiagranny We had Lobelia the year before last and it died. What did we do? It was with petunias then.
We tried something else last year. I forget what but it died too.The other plants were good.
20240527_085953.jpgThe blue always dies out. Lithodora is what we tried last year.

Um, what? What are you having done? Did I miss something? At any rate prayers for you and the doctors who treat you. :)

@hearlady Lobelia and lithidora both need a lot of water. Lithidora does better if it gets afternoon shade and damp but not soggy soil so good drainage is needed. You're right, though. Both are hard to grow. How about Blue Daze? it's easier to grow, needs regular watering while it's being established but is drought tolerant after that and should do well with geraniums.

On my early walk around 6:50 temp was 46 sun was rising as I walked around the building once before breakfast
This morning taking bus going to Kohl's{department store} haven;t been there since last Nov. I'm looking for new pair of New Balance walking shoes, look for summer quilt for my bed

At 8pm turn on TV to watch 'Spring Baking Championship on Food network, always enjoy watching what these bakers come up with

Hmm, thanks! I'll look for that!

Today was supposed to be dry and sunny....but overnight, the forecast changed. Now, it is foggy and misty, with a chance of rain later. The average rainfall here, for April, is 5 inches. So far, we have had 14 inches of rain, with 3 more day to go, this month. All 3 of those days have rain in the forecast. I'm going by my Mom's today....this weather is very disappointing.
