Sometime during the night the heavens opened up. Nobody said a word about rain in the forecast. Well, at least I don't have to water today.

It's laundry day, and The Hovel is begging to be vacuumed. That's my assignment, should I choose to accept...
 

It's our 47th anniversary today! Nothing planned. I'm making a big strawberry mango pancake with bacon and eggs.
Maybe we'll get some lunch later. It's going to be a nice day.

I've been on a cleaning binge lately. I've cleaned my car including door jams and ....everything!
I've cleaned all of my house except the kitchen (a day by itself) including shampooing the living room rug.
DH has been working on the outside. His last hormone shot has worn off and he's getting his energy back.

Today did 3 loads of laundry wash 2 drys including most of my linens that have just been sitting in a closet unused for years. At 9:45am tomorrow have a pint of special juice am supposed to drink within 15 minutes and then will be driven by a brother to be at the hospital at 12:00pm. Heh David old fella - love ya to pieces - but I was just thinkin - ya only got two choices now - stay here with us miserable lot or go on and meet the Lord?? Hard choice heh???
 
Good morning, all. I do not have many plans today but to go buy some allergy pills for my husband. They are the ones that people use to make illegal drugs so have to sign and show ID to purchase. They work the best for him.

I will keep you in my thoughts today, David. You sound so ambitious in your cleaning house. Take care of yourself and I am hoping for the best in your recovery.

That sure was a nuisance when it came about.

I don't buy as much as I used to, but I get the big pack when I do. I don't need them often, and the "fake" replacements that require no legal gymnastics seem to work for me as an alternative. The real thing works better of course.

The fake medication (pills look almost identical) was recently claimed by new research to be ineffective. They seemed to be in a rush to take it off the market a year or so ago, but I still find it for sale.

I went out to drink my coffee and sort of found a buncha stuff to do, like clean out the gutters because they were full and washing over onto the patio umbrella. Make a heckuva mess and took a good while to clean up after it. They also overflowed and got the cushion on my chairs wet:mad:. They aren't soaked through so I'm gonna try to dry them with a hair dryer.

First load of laundry has been started.

Sigh. I don't wanna do anything. Not laundry. Not vacuuming. Not anything. Just not.

Sounds like you need some leave filters…..mine works wonderfully
 
Really hot today... the hottest May 1st ever, they're saying today... 84 deg here .... 🌞 🌞

Fence panel has been delivered.... I went out into the garden, and cleared all the hanging pots from the fence panel which is being replaced.. took the trellis off, and lifted the big pot from the borders to make enough room for the gardener to take the old panel out and put the new one in.. when he gets here later..

I've also scrubbed down all of the kitchen.. and vacc;'d all the way through downstairs..

Moan alert..: My back is killing me...

It's a bank holiday weekend as from tomorrow , the traffic people are saying that there will be 17 milliion cars on the roads as from tomorrow morning and all over the weekend...so if I go out I'll stay away from the motorways... and take all the B roads instead..

There are leaf filters that were installed when the new roof was put on a few years back. They aren't the "real thing," though, just some screens that the roofer put on the gutters. And the stuff that collects there is too big so gutters still have to be cleaned.

Anyway, not up to me. It's DD/DSIL's house. Oh, well.

And...I tried the blower dryer on the cushions. It was a good idea but takes too long. They're gonna have to air dry.

@hollydolly Sounds like you're all set. Now you just need the guy to show up!

I really need to get the bathroom cleaned.. but my back won't allow it today... I hate having the bath.. I'd like to get it taken out but I can't because I'm hoping I can move from here at some point..

I don't think the problem came from eating habits.

The restrictions are intended to give my body a healing break from foods known to promote extra stomach acids. (I didn't list the exclusions that don't apply to me, like spicy and fatty foods.) If I'm not considerably better within a month, they'll do an endoscopy.

EKG and blood work showed normal results.
